Ici ont né vient pas pour le cadre tout petit petit, mais pour son café à mon avis le meilleur de hong kong. Le staff est sympas et le percolateur est magnifique bien visible.

Initially came to get the ice drip, but(1) it was crossed off the backboard menu and(2) it cost HK$ 90(US$ 11.60) so we were fine picking something else. Not much seating inside, but we did grab a seat at the bar after a minute of waiting. AT got the espresso and I got the blood orange Italian soda. FYI, the Italian soda is in a bottle, not from scratch. Didn’t have the coffee, so not sure how it compares to the craft roasters in San Francisco, but AT said he enjoyed it(but it isn’t particularly inexpensive, as is the case for most specialty coffee we found in HK)

Loves the simple decors and the atmosphere, nice place for coffee and chill for awhile but for long nor the most ideal place to read because of the high chairs. The location is a bit hard to find, we spent some time looking for it and it wasn’t very convenient for people who drives. The coffee are good, and the Banana Cake was surprisingly yummy, so much love for the strong banana aroma and the moist texture.

Great coffee… if you’re prepared to wait around for it. It’s my alternative spot for a caffeine hit around Olympic/Taikoktsui — the coffee is great but honestly by the time it gets to you you’re probably going to be over waiting for your hit. Been quite a few times now… weekends — takes forever to get a simple round of flat whites… didn’t dare order food as I feel it would’ve meant we had to devote our morning to the cause! Weekdays — up and down with the wait times: Worst case was when I was the only person in the place apart from the 3 staff — it took over them 10 mins to get me a takeaway piccolo and a slice of banana bread(amazing banana bread tho) — I ate and drank both within 3 mins. Best case was 8+ min wait — the ground coffee was weighed 5 times(I guess to get it to the«perfect» weight) — but then when the barista went to compress the coffee, she actually knocked a whole ton of coffee off the mound she just created??? That bump could’ve added a few more mins to my wait — thankfully not. All in all — I keep going back as the coffees are great… not after the«wham bam thank you mamm» chain store service… but there are great coffee shops around the world(Melbourne, Sydney, London, New York and just up the road from these guys in Hong Kong) that can crank out coffees(weighed and unweighed) in much less time that taste great.

Go here practically every weekend. Great coffee. Just the right amount of flavor. Not too milky and not too much water.

Very fresh coffee roasted here. They make good cappacino and also serve desserts. I recommend the hot drinks instead. They do not have skim milk so that’s a bummer that is why I’m only giving 4 stars. Place can be busy though. They let you wait outside when its too packed. The décor is nice. Their door handle is a coffee grinder handle which adds a little cuteness to this place.

Hong Kong is a busy city and sometimes people tend to miss out a lot as they seldom take the path less trodden. This place is one example. I stumbled upon this little coffee shop when I took a little stroll next to Olympian City(Yup, under the burning heat but no regret) You will not expect that you may find this place in a region where mostly every other shops on the street are rather old but that is the beauty of it. This place is really cozy and relaxing since it is not located in the most crowded street in Mongkok, there are not that many customers, which definitely makes this a perfect place for chilling. The coffee is freshly made and even though one particular coffee branch is just one block away, it tastes much better and is served by a very friendly barista. Personally, I love the taste of hazelnut and every time I go there, a good old iced hazelnut latte makes my day. It is creamy and of the right amount of milk so it is not too milky. They also serve cakes but I prefer the coffee to cakes. Go have a look before this place becomes THE place and you may need to get in line next time you come!
