Chinese Noodle Restaurant

When it comes to Chinese rice noodle place, most people would suggest going to the one with yellow and green sign (if you know what I mean), and I did; however I am not a big fan of it mainly because I cannot eat spicy food; and when I go there, I have to order the one with chicken broth which is really blend for it; therefore, I never know how to appreciate that, maybe one day when I can eat spicy food I will go give it a try. This time as I was walking around Hung Hum looking for a bite, I came across this place. I have never heard of it and I assumed it was just one of those noodle shops, once I walked in and I realized this place is kind of popular and has won some awards as well. Lucky for me.
So I sat myself down and had a look at the menu. As I was only looking for a quite bite, I did not have much expectation and ordered noodles with abalone stripe and a plate of fried chicken wings (as I saw everyone in the shop was having that…); the food came less than 10 minutes and I tried the soup first — Chicken broth; but it was really nicely flavored, to my surprise, it was not blend at all as those I have tried elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I seldom finish the soup at those places because I am scared of the MSG. however this place got me with the soup. The chicken wings took a while but it was definitely worth all the wait; they were very crispy and rightfully seasoned; I could also taste the juice in it showing how they were perfectly fried. The entire meal only cost me less than forty dollars and I was one happy diner already.
I highly recommend this place as one thing I noticed that day: normally places like that the staff are rather rude… but I saw one female server there who just keeps thanking everyone even though she is just serving food. Really nice service and she deserves a raise there.
