This place has amazing food. We got the whole artichoke and frogs leg as starter and it was super awesome. The lobster risotto was flavorful with lots of lobster flesh. Also got the bone marrow risotto which was super aromatic and yummy. The best thing is that the risotto weren’t too cheesy but yet still super tasty. Would definetely come back! Highly recommeded! And totally made it worth it to come all the way out here!

I have heard this one as some extension and independence of the original store on Staunton. I was quite ready for some meat after a while. Artichoke salad right before their bread. Quite plain, the dressing was too light to light up. I can choke artichoke a lot but this is not tasty. The freshness is covered with creamy source. Okay, bone marrow. Indeed heavy and juicy that my appetite took off. The mint layer looks thick but works perfect to balance the greasiness. And as I stressed, they serve large portion! Guilty pleasure for once. For main we got a Alaska Crab meat cabonara, lamb shank and duck confit. My duck confit is dry and fatty that flavours are not presented mostly. It is very conventional ones

They also have daily specials. The bamboo clams is recommended. The L size bamboo clams are cooked in white wine and creamy sauce which make them very rich and yummy. The escargots with bone marrow is exceptional too. Both are very rich so if you are a fan of the taste of rich and fatty — Must try!

I love eating, and I love eating loads! If it’s decent grub, don’t give me half a mouthful in the middle of a massive plate and call it a soupçon to whet my palate. Gimme the food! Bistronomique is my sort of place. It models itself as a French style family dining restaurant, and I appreciate that when one hears French one may think of said massive plate with two peas and a jus of something. However, in this case think«family». The dishes are big, hearty and will feed a family, or four hungry adults who have just been diving all day. We had the two house specials of the day. First; the luxury seafood bisque at around HKD700, which had prawns, mussels, clams, chunks of salmon, topped off French blue crab, and swimming in a lovely soup that just oozed of the French seaside(and I don’t mean like licking the sand in Normandy, I’m talking more romantically than that). Second; the family roast chicken at around HKD500, was quite frankly the best chicken I’ve had for ages. It is a half chicken that is portioned into about eight pieces, and roasted in the pan with potatoes, French peas, carrots, and a wonderful gravy that is basically the cooking juices from the chicken, left in the pan to add moisture to the meat and vegetables. The dish is served at your table in the roasting pan, so there is absolutely no loss of any of the goodness in the fresh ingredients. In support of these mains, I would recommend the Pâté de Maison, a home made pork pâté — just exquisite, and the artichoke with butter dipping sauce. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and(surprisingly for HK) very knowledgeable about the menu, suggesting combinations of dishes, so that we could taste the full range of their offering. Bistronomique does get booked up, so the staff suggest trying to secure a table at least a week in advance. If you can’t get into the Kennedy Town branch, or just don’t fancy going that far from Soho, there is a sister branch on Staunton Street. Now, go eat chicken and feel at home!
