Applegreen

This is the place to go for healthy food. The salad portions are generous and could be enough for two. The price level is good considered its a western restaurant in HK.

Don’t get me wrong… this place is overpriced for what it is.
However! —
1. Service is great. I really appreciate the western approach: — asking you if the food is alright. — refilling water. — helping you pack up food, etc.
2. Irish Nachos so yummy, Fennel Sausage flatbread is yummy. Truffle mac n cheese is heavenly !! Get appetizers here and split with a friend :)
** their salads are a bit dry. Which I guess is a healthy thing and «good «but just a TAD bit more dressing would be great :)
I have come here twice and tried multiple things on the menu. Everything is great for sharing!

The first time I went to Applegreen was few years back then in Mong Kok. This western restaurant gave me a rather positive impression. The ambience was kind of stylish and romantic with dimmed lights. Food was good enough for me to still remember that. Therefore, when I found out it was closed, I was rather shocked and kind of upset that I have one less place to go meet my friends in Mong Kok.
Years after, I saw that Applegreen opened a new one in Kwai Fong and I have decided to go «re-​visit» this place. So I went there last week and the first impression was — well this was different. The entire atmosphere was very different from the one in Mong Kok. As a matter of fact, there wasn’t anything that reminded me of the old Applegreen — the lighting, the seating, the waitresses. Anyways, those are not the most important things.
I ordered Triple Cheeses Pepperoni pizza but I would like to say that it seems the services there need a lot of work. There was no smile AT ALL and he seemed rather impatient and could not wait to hide himself somewhere. That was disappointing. As for the food, the food was definitely much better and it did bring back some memory. And I give them that.
Overall, it is a nice place to hang out or just to have proper meal. Food is definitely nicely cooked and beautifully plated. However, it would have so much better had the waiters and waitresses been more… approachable. Since they are new and probably still in need of some training, I will go back in the future.
