7 Heaven / Club 7

Small small place. Heard it’s very poplar currently. I don’t see why. It’s crowded. The place let’s you smoke inside. A table is $ 800usd. My friend knows the guy so got it for 2. I’d expect more for that pricing at full price. The dj sucks with choppy spinning and bad mixes. Not enough security. Some randoms kept coming into our table trying to look for things they lost, touching our jackets and purses. Seriously asking for a fight. Happened several times. Where the f*** are the bouncers separating tables and non tables etc? Most of my friends were military & foreigners so it was ok. But it was seriously annoying and killed my buzz.
They’re suppose to be remodeling but there’s so much they need to work on to ever get my business again.

Well this particular spot has a special place in my (clubbing) life. Back almost 10 years ago, this was exactly the location of the first club I’d ever been to. The name was so obscured and no one actually remembered it, and I spent a good two days with my friend to figure that out — yeah it was Ruum. (If you remember it too, welcome to the 10-​year-​clubbing-​club!)
It became a restaurant for a long time, and it opened a new club, Mella, 2 years ago. Big let down, if I have to be honest, and it closed down in less than a year. And now it becomes 7 Heaven as we know, or Club 7, which both names are interchangeable.
It was run under the name of Prive Group for a while, but apparently not anymore. It had its buzz back a year ago, providing a good alternative to the big clubs and lousy crowds. I’m not sure about the weekend clubbing scene here anymore, as every club looks a bit empty these days even on Saturday nights.
But the funny thing is, a club’s sustainability may largely depend on its popularity on weekdays too. And that’s the reason I love 7 Heaven recently. Now they are officially hosting swing dance every Monday night, and salsa dance every Tuesday night. Good happy hour price offers running till late on both nights, and they give so much freedom to the organizers they actually let them to go on to the DJ booth to play music that suits for the types of dance of the night.
I couldn’t complain at all. Proper dancing place is hard to come by, compared to the «clubbing places» in LKF where everyone literally does no dancing but instead standing on the dance floor. If they start doing tango on Wednesday, this is the place I wouldn’t mind even spending three late weeknights a week in.
