Totally surprised. I hate dinning in LKF, not LKF Tower tho. This spot seats at 1st floor and is kind of at the scene. I followed my team here. We started with cod fish wrap. That entire piece of mint just enlightened. The pastry is soft based which melt with the tender fish fillet. And I loved the lamb ribs. Hands down. With or without sour cream is highly recommended. what else do I remember, oh grilled chicken. Marinated with a bit kebab style, cooked to perfect. We got the wrong dish, and the boss came out to apologize. Okaish service. Will consider coming back!

Hidden upstairs in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, where it is super silent in the broad daylight of a weekend, Souvla is an unexpected gem. Good buffet selection of modern Greek food — sumptuous, hearty and the fact that you can BYO bottle over the weekend means you can enjoy a gorgeous bottle from your private collection, whilst tucking into the food. With the brunch deal at HK$ 298 per person, only the chicken and beef are on offer with the roast unfortunately. The succulent lamb and pork on the spit behind the counter are available at an extra charge. Desserts were delightful little treats with a nice selection of baklava, meringue and mini lemon tarts. Definitely a place to chill and enjoy a lovely relaxing brunch with friends and family.

Souvla is a Greek restaurant located right in the heart of LKF. I came here with my cousins and their friend for Super Mondays. More people = more sharing = more tasting! The restaurant is spacious, especially for HK standards! I love that the tables and couches are spread apart so you really get to have intimate space with whoever you are with without having others listen in on your conversation, or you ending up nearing others’ conversation. The larger table /couches look super comfy. Was definitely kinda jelly since we just got a table as opposed to the large circular couch or the western style bench behind our table. Souvla has tons of small plates, this is definitely a place for sharing. Coming here alone or with a friend is fine, but you won’t be able to try much which I feel like defeats the purpose of this tapas style-like Greek restaurant. Verdict — come with a group of 4+ would be best. The food here is okay, nothing wowing nor terrible. I personally wouldn’t crave food from this place nor suggest coming here, but also wouldn’t mind if friends choose this restaurant for get together, etc.

I am definitely a fan of Souvla. I have been here once on their opening night and again for dinner. For some strange reason, greek food in hong kong never really took off. There are only a handful that I can think of. specifically, only 2. I remember back home, there are greek restaurants everywhere! It isn’t hard to find somewhere where you can just sit down for a nice kebab and greek salad! When you walk in, actually the whole restaurant is not the typical«greek style», what I mean by that is, the Greek restaurants back home are usually decked out with ocean decorations, seashells, blues, whites, the typical Mykonos/Santorini décor. Souvla is completely different, the interior actually kind of got a red tone to it, and they use the bee hive as their focal point. I came here for a girls night, we were seated in the corner right by the window. We immediately loved the vibe. We were being a little indecisive so we asked the friendly manager what we should order and how much. He recommended a few things, including tzatziki with pita, some seafood and a few gyros. The dishes were really cute when served. The gyros in particular, it looked like having street food in the middle of santorini, being wrapped in paper cones. Overall, the food was excellent, the drinks were yummy, service was good and basically, I really enjoyed the whole experience. I really wanted to try the spit meats but i think between the four of us girls, there was no way we could have eaten everything. Guess we will have to wait till next time.

If you want great Greek food, I would thoroughly recommend that you come to Souvla in LKF. It is in the site that used to be Harrington’s, and frankly, I’m glad Souvla is here now. It is still a large space, with a bar dining area at the front, and a proper dining room at the back. Whilst there are plenty of tables, make sure you book, as it is quite a: hot” place at the moment, and it does get busy. Worse case scenario if you walk in, is you could always eat at the bar, which is wide and spacious. Serving a range of contemporary Greek food, and Greek inspired drinks, I have never been disappointed with a visit to Souvla. My absolute favourites are the grilled halloumi, and the saganaki, which is a skillet of grilled cheese(like the bottom of a fondue pot). My only grumble is that it is very expensive. These two afore mentioned dishes alone cost HKD145 each. Yes, they are super tasty, but why so expensive? It’s grilled cheese! The dishes are supposed to be sharing tapas style, but they are small and you will find yourself doubling down on most things if there are more than two of you. The signature dish, the souvla(grilled meats), will set you back HKD265 for a dish of pork, which is around a mouthful each with four sharing. There are some mains that will ride you close to HKD400. If you can get over the expense, the service is excellent, with super friendly and extremely efficient staff. The kitchen is open, which is a nice touch, as you can see right in and watch the magic at work. The ambience is dark and intimate, but a little noisy, so it’s slightly more club/bar feel rather than romantic. Definitely worth a visit for the saganaki alone!
