At 3am, I stumbled upon this place after a few friend said I should go there, to meet up with them. The place is right in the middle of Strøget and it was pretty empty, but nevertheless the place had okay music and some beer — not that big of a selection, but enough to keep you going at this time of the night. As this is a smaller place, smoking inside is allowed, so everyone in the pub was a smoker. Every single one. The bartenders were all non natives, who barely understood danish, but tried their best to understand what the drunken people were saying. We borrowed some dice and raffled for an hour or two and went home — happy and drunk. When I woke up the morning after, all my clothes had this stink to it, from all the smoking, so now thats in the washingmachine. If you’re not a smoker, this probaly isn’t the greatest place to go to

A bit on the touristy side, felt a little more like a Danish-themed British pub than an actual Danish pub. That said, the prices were very good for the area, cheaper than other sit-down places and not much more expensive than the terrible-looking kebab shops around. Fish and chips(see what I mean?) and the soup were well-portioned and a good value. Not a bad place for a stop, other than the slow service.

This place was horrible. We ate at countless places this vacation and this was by far the worst place we went to in Europe. We stopped in around 4:30p for a drink and a bite. We ordered the SMØRREBROD w/a small glass of wine for 89DK and an additional beer. Our total was 130DK. The bar was completely empty except for a group of 4 – 5 people sitting at the bar talking to the female bartender with dark hair and an English accent. She told us there was only enough for 1 portion of the SMØRREBROD which was perfect because we only wanted 1. She had us up pay upfront then told us to have a seat and she would bring it to us. When she delivered the food we were shocked at the appearance. The SMØRREBROD was VERYVERY old. So old the lettuce was brown and wilted, the fish was complete mush and the bread was somehow hard/stale and mushy at the same time. It was very obvious this plate had been made in advance a VERY long time ago and stored in a fridge. We tried one bite just to see if the food was as bad as it appeared… it was. I spit out the one bite I tried. The female bartender never checked on us. We sat and waited, finished our drinks. She was busy talking to the small group at the bar. We returned the empty glasses and the plate of old food with one bite taken. Told her that is was so old the lettuce was brown, fish was mush etc. She never offered a refund or any substitutes. She was almost laughing and told us to have a nice day. If I could give 0 stars I would. Spend your tourist money somewhere else.

It has the exact same menu as the Irish Rover(across the street), but is much smaller and better decorated. It is a real pub(lacking the pool-table).

Good music. They have smorrebrod, which is a traditional Danish sandwich. It was, however, nothing special. Just a slice of black bread, butter, and some meat or cheese or fish. The viking theme is a bit tacky, but they seem to have good food and beer.
