Super tasty… I come from Los Angeles where we are spoiled with great food from all country’s around the world. This place is awesome, not as spicy as real Thai food but very tasty.

The BEST Thai food I’ve had abroad to date. The prices were super affordable considering we were in the heart of Copenhagen & it was a nice place to transition into the last leg of ur day. We got free puff chips before our meal(my fav) that they give everyone, hosted by a staff who was friendly in a place that was clean and cozy. It was funny because it felt like I was dining back home, considering everyone else who was dining at the restaurant were from either the States and Canada. My boyfriend and I got an appetizer, two entrees, and two ramlösas for around $ 30 – 45USD with left overs!!! Please go. Its so worth it. Same yourself some time and go there. Walk. Bike. Just go.

Really good food at a cheap price! Loving their chicken red curry with rice! Try their soup ‘Tom Yam Gai’ — super spicy, but delish! However, try the soup ‘Tom Kha Gay’ with coconut milk instead, if you wanna be able to taste the rest of the meal ;)

Best Thai authentic restaurant with very good price ever!!! in Copenhagen | fresh good food /good service /friendly and cosy. Now they move to the bigger building with 12 tables. Facing the old building then turn right across the bridge then you will have a very good food, relaxing and fast take away. Go for it

Thai Asien Take Away is a hole in the wall family run business in an incredible waterfront location in the center of Copenhagen – arguably its salient perk. Walking around Copenhagen, I was surprised by how many Thai restaurants there were and how many people were eating their take-way by the canals. We decided we wanted to join the bandwagon and found that Thai Asien Take Away was highly recommended online. My friend and I ordered the Thai boxes– a steal at 54 kroner each. We got one chicken green curry with rice and one chicken lo mein. We also ordered their version of spring rolls which came with some samosa-like appetizers as well. The green curry with rice was great – similar what I’d expect for Thai take out in the States. The chicken lo mein was more disappointing and pretty bland. That being said, the portions for both were huge, especially for the price. The spring rolls were pretty meager both in flavor and quality. Overall – Thai Asien hit the spot for what we were looking for, quick and easy take out that we could eat by the canals. The portions were huge, quality was overall decent(would definitely recommend the green curry and rice), and cost was cheap! Cons: Very small space – would not recommend eating there or even waiting for food. Service was friendly but rushed, take a look at menu before going in to order!

Great take out Thai food. Very straightforward staff but hard to complain when the food is this good. Very tiny place so best to wait outside while you wait for the food. Big selection and they make it all fresh.

Before going to the restaurant, we didn’t know it’s actually a takeout place. We chose this place to go mainly for its location(0.1 mile from our hotel) and for its price(50−70dkk per dish)! The restaurant might be small, but the dishes were full of flavors — Pad Thai, Green Curry and Tom Yum soup. As a matter of fact, I had recently visited Bangkok in November, and I must say that the dinner we had tonight was just as good as the ones I had in Thailand! Yay XD

I ordered Tom Kha Gai(39kr) and Pad Tai(74kr). Shared with two friends and still full. The Tom Kha Gai has coconut milk and i order it with chicken. It taste so good, that I drill for it everyday. Pad thai was really good too. It is probably better or almost the same as the thai food places in Hong Kong, better than Greyhound of Hong Kong. My mom has been here twice and she told me about this place. She is pretty picky on food, she barely praises the taste of any food, but this one:). And I like how the place is so warm when it was chilly outside in copenhagen. Hecka comfort food, big portion and reasonable price:)

Great authentic thai food. Fairly priced and big portions. Friendly staff and fast service. Their Nam Tok with beef is highly recommended as well as their green curry.

After spending way too much money on food while vacationing in Copenhagen, I was happy to find this Thai takeout place with reasonable prices to let my wallet recover a little. I got the pad thai with tofu and it was very good. Others in my group got curry and they liked their food also. If you’re looking for reasonably priced takeout in the Nyhavn area, this is a great option.

I rather like this family run Thai take away. They have a wide range of tasty dishes, and the staff are very friendly. The funny thing is that they will make the food a little diffenent on each visit, even when you order the same dish. In the summertime I often buy a take away here and enjoy it at the side of the canal.

5 stars is generous, but consider that this is a budget take-away joint where you can pay 49 kr and get a cooked-to-order curry(red or green, with tofu/chicken/beef/pork) with rice and guarantee a full, happy belly. Definitely a cut above other thai take-aways, and even better than some of the pretentious ‘fusion’ sit-downs like Le-Le. Looking forward to trying off the normal menu as I always just go for the Tofu Red Curry thai box deal. You can sit down but there are only like 5 seats. Suggested improvement: A jug of water on the counter.

So psyched to write up my first non-North American post! I was told about this place during my Scandinavian-Baltic trip a week or so ago by my uncle, who stumbled there during his jaunt the previous day around the Nyhavn area. Boy, am I glad I followed his advice. The place is really, really small. There’s barely seating available for 9 people across 3 small tables, and the place is located in the basement with no A/C(very European) so the only ventilation is from the smallish open window. However, no matter how uncomfortable the layout is, it is JAMMED and RAMMED busy every mealtime. Phallic-sounding metaphors aside, I understand why this place is so busy. Most restaurants in the Nyhavn area are astoundingly pricey, as such, this place gives excellent value for your dollar(or krone, whatever). For significantly less than 100DKK, I got a green curry with rice which was overwhelmingly large for my Asian tummy, and was chock-full of ingredients. They didn’t skimp on the veggies! And what I love the most is the fact that the flavours are quite strong and not understated, definitely way better than many watered-down Chinese-owned Thai restaurants in Toronto. The meat is tender and the curry is thick! It’s ALMOST as good as the curry at Linda(and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, go check out my review of that place. Seriously. I’ll wait) … Now that we’re all caught up, in summary the place is very good and the only thing that takes it down a notch is that it’s nearly impossible to eat there. There’s not much space, and what little space IS there is very uncomfortable. But as a takeout joint, it works beautifully. The next time you go to Kobenhavn(as the locals pronounce it), be sure to stop by here for some hearty, and authentic, Thai food.

Excelent and genuine Thai food. The Pad Thai is not very interesting. Some of the salads, like the Nam Tuk is really good, although the beef was quite tough. All in all it’s an excelent take away alternative to pick up and eat by the harbour if you want to savor the buzz in Nyhavn without paying too much. They also offer lunch boxes at reasonable prices.

a nice little takeout place tucked away in the hustle and bustle of touristy nyhavn. if you don’t feel like paying an exorbitant amount for a café burger or fish menu with a view of the water, just pop in and pay less than 100kr for a nice dish and a drink here. the service is pretty fast and friendly; if you want your food spicier, just tell them«not farang spicy, but thai spicy.» there aren’t many seats, so once your order is ready, go sit with your legs dangling off the edge of the harbor(weather permitting, of course.) and enjoy your meal.
