The Hotel Crowne Plaza, Copenhagen Towers is a newer venue located one train(Metro) stop away from the Airport. Great location being close to the airport and away from the city’s «buzz» but close enough you are just minutes from great restaurants! A very mixed review to offer for our experience… here we go… We reserved our hotel approximately ~2 weeks before we arrived. Knowing we were planning to stay with family for most of the time we were in Denmark, we wanted to be nearer the airport the night before our departure. Based on family recommendations and online reviews, we chose the HCPCT. We arrived at Ørestads station at ~12:30 pm, knowing we were early for check-in. The hotel is a 5 – 7 minute walk from the station, very convenient as we were luggage in-tow. Walking up to the hotel, there is still much construction and no clear signage as to where to enter. We found an entrance on the east side… walking in, we found ourselves in an overwhelming atrium full of indoor trees, vaulted(20 foot + high) ceilings, sky lights, empty tables /desks, empty(what appeared to be) reception area(s), an empty bar and an empty restaurant. Spooky to say the least. Beautiful in its own respect but creepy not seeing another human being anywhere in the building. We wandered around until we found a back passageway into what appeared to be the hotel reception. We were warmly greeted by the only two human beings in the entire building. They were kind and accommodating to let us check-in 90 minutes before the room was due. Concierge was quick to offer their services and very friendly. We were assigned to the 18th floor which we discovered the lifts were quick to deliver us to. Our room, upon arrival, was clean, fresh, bright and welcoming. Great choice so far! We opted to get ready for dinner and to dine in the restaurant on the Ground floor… As we prepared for dinner, we both noticed the water scum remaining on the shower head. Now, this would be somewhat normal in a lower-class hotel that is much older, but this seemed odd for such a new facility. We both struggled showering without flooding the bathroom. The small glass partition(which is a traditional European shower partition) did absolutely nothing to prevent water from spraying all over the bathroom floor. The water pressure was inconsistent, as was the water temperature(beware! easy way to burn yourself!) As we dressed for dinner, we noticed the OK view of the new mall across the highway, however, the extremely dirty windows were distracting. We checked-in to the restaurant for dinner. Unfortunately, we discovered the restaurant only offered a very expensive and very limited menu. The menu consisted mostly of pork and beef options with only one questionable fish item for an entrée. It was quickly noted the restaurant was basically empty(only one other party); with the limited menu and obvious absence of patrons, we opted to leave. Concierge was once again, very friendly and quickly advised there were no «upscale» restaurants in the area. We ended up opting for a restaurant in the mall across the street — appreciate the recommendation but skipping dinner would have been a better option. The same evening, as preparing for bed, we discovered the glasses in the room were filthy(see attached pictures). We opted not to bring this to the attention of management, as it was useless at that hour of the night. The next morning, we did opt for their breakfast option — BEWARE — ITIS $ 50AMERICANDOLLARSFORTWOBREAKFASTS!!! The excessive price wasn’t discussed or disclosed until my credit card was charged. We needed up with an additional ~$ 30 in credit card charges for the hotel for«incidentals» that I still don’t understand. Overall, it is a beautiful hotel that appears to be very«green» and modern… Their limited bar is extremely overpriced, as is the food in their very limited restaurant. They will charge you for anything and everything you need or want… to the point we were hesitant to call for any form of room service. The curtains in our room(note, the hotel is basically brand new) had pin holes that leaked light into our room — which is quite distracting at 4:30 am. The beds are comfortable but certainly nothing to write home about. Great concept for this hotel… however, they are missing the details of cleanliness and accommodations for international travelers. We wouldn’t opt to stay there again…

Very pleasant hotel conveniently situated not too far from the city centre and airport. My room was clean and spacious and with hairdryer and toiletries in the bathroom. There is room service and laundry plus two excellent places to eat. Staff are pleasant and accommodating but the restaurant service can be very slow. Breakfast is excellent with fresh eggs no omelettes served to your preference.

2.5 stars. The good: Modern hi-rise. Clean and close to the airport. Buffet in restaurant was good. Hotel staff very friendly. The not so good: Nothing else near it. Very stuffy rooms with no way to open more than one small window. Air conditioning was horrible(stayed in 2 separate rooms) 10 minute walk to mall and to train station. One hop-on-hop-off bus pick up. Airport shuttle schedule not conducive for morning flights.

The hotel is in a developing area of Copenhagen — very new and vast. That being said, it’s not where the hustle and bustle of downtown Copenhagen is. If you want a quiet stay, this is the place. However you could see construction workers across the way outside our window(we were here July, 2014). They have a free airport shuttle bus which is fantastic — driver was super nice and friendly. Then to get into downtown Copenhagen, the metro is kinda just across the street/freeway from the hotel. The metro is affordable, clean and fast. Make sure you have a ticket going on — there are metro police who come on board at random stations to check your ticket! We saw a local get fined! Oh and one night we were just too tired to make the trek back into the city for dinner, we just stayed in and ordered room service. The burgers were awesome!!! Accompanied with a bottle of red wine we were gifted in Amsterdam — explaining bottle opener was funny with the room service operator.

This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and central Copenhagen. It is a shuttle(free) away from the airport while the public transport to the city center is across the hotel. Travel time is about 10 – 15 minutes. It is also a nice option to have the shopping mall walking distance away from the hotel. The accomondation itself is clean and well kept with free wifi. We also enjoyed the European breakfast that they serve here. Yes, it is just another Crowne Plaza but with Scandanavian flair.

Free shuttle and wifi. Clean comfortable rooms and good gym(open 24 hours). Whole place is run on solar electricity! Good food and attentive staff. Close to transportation downtown. Staff explained EXACTLY which train to take and price of fare. Will stay here next time I’m in town.

A very stylish hotel that my taxi driver hadn’t heard of! Had the«great burger» last night and indeed it was. Room service had to call back to ask which drink I was asking for which was a bit poor(I had to guide him to its position on the menu!) but other than that it has been a good stay. Albeit it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere. Some sort of stadium being built next door so this will soon be a very handy hotel… For something. Breakfast is the seemingly common Nordic experience of find your own table and help yourself. Thankfully there were enough tables free that I didn’t end up trying to claim someone else’s. A better variety of pastries would have been appreciated, but the smoothie made up for it.

First, to make sure that the hotel personnel are properly recognized let me start by saying that Franca checked us in at the front desk of the hotel’s spacious beautiful lobby. Franca provides a fantastic first-impression of this hotel. We have never ever received a more positive, friendly and informative check-in then we received from Franca. Once we mentioned that this was our first time in Copenhagen a metamorphosis occurred and Franca changed from hotel front desk employee to the head of the Copenhagen Chamber of Commerce. In a word, Franca was amazing. Within ten minutes we had a highlighted map of places to see and while Franca marked the map she provided the historical perspective of each of the sites and the reasons why we should visit them. Franca offered to make dinner reservations, explained some of the Danish culture and explained the different types of train passes. I will tell you exactly what we told Franca, she is in the wrong work location. She should work for the Copenhagen Tourist Bureau. Franca takes the word«hospitality» seriously and I can tell you that she is a hotel manager in the making. Thank you Franca for your professionalism, your time and your genuineness! Next I would like to send a huge thank you to Jan. We checked out of the hotel at 4:00 am and went to the lobby for a shuttle that we had reserved. As luck would have it there was a misunderstanding. We wanted a 4:00 am airport shuttle not a 4:00 pm shuttle. We were faced with the prospect of hiring a taxi which, truth to tell, would not have been a big deal but let’s face it, nobody wants to try to call a tax at the last minute at 4:00 am! One of the drivers named Jan, who I believe is the supervisor of this department, overheard my front desk conversation and told us that he would go heat up the van, meet us out front and take us to the airport. It just so happened that Jan was early for work that day. As soon as we got to the airport«Baby» and I decided that we need to do more than write a nice review so Jan and Franca will shortly be enjoying Ghirardelli chocolates courtesy of Chocoolate and baby. What terrific service. What great employees. What a well run hotel. I will always check the Crowne Plaza’s availability when considering travelling to Copenhagen. The free airport shuttle is a major plus and easy to find outside Terminal Two. It is a real short five-minute ride to the hotel and our driver was friendly and informative. The hotel’s lobby is spacious, the check-in informative and efficient and our deluxe king bedroom was spacious, well appointed, and airy. The hotel does not skimp on amenities. The towels are large and fluffy, the bed firm and comfortable, the complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate were replenished daily and housekeeping services were amazing. The well-vented bathroom had sufficient toiletries(although the toilet paper was the rough one-ply type) and contained both a shower and bathtub. The living area was huge by European standards and although there is no real view to speak of, the large windows allowed us to see, the nearby mall(Fields”), and the surrounding snow-covered streets. The room provides more than ample closet space, and lighting, wall sockets. There is a large flat screen television and if you are a news hound you can watch the BBC and CNBC news channels along with National Geographic, MTV and a ton of pay-per-view movies. Hotel is a five minute walk to the Metro stop, just walk out the front door and take three lefts and you are on your way. The front desk has«return trip» Metro passes and it is only a short ten-minute ride to the heart of the downtown shopping and tourist areas. Also, there is a huge mall that is only two blocks away. If you are willing to start your day with a short train ride and can navigate a subway system I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers. The size of the rooms and proximity to the airport makes this hotel a real bargain and excellent place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel. Recommendations: 1. Make sure you have drinks and snacks before retiring for the night; 2. A Walk along the Frederiksholms Kanal(Canal); 3. The Royal Library Garden; 4. Royal Library Fountain; 5. Borsen(old stock exchange building); 6. Christianshavns; 7. Copenhagen Opera House; 8. Church of Our Savior; 9. Christianshavns Kanal(Canal); 10. Tivoli; 11. Marble Bridge; 12. The Riding Grounds Complex; 13. The Nationalmuseet; 14. Irma Illum(on the Pilestrade); 15. The changing of the guard at noon; 16. The Museums on Castle Island; 17. The Dubliner for drinks

The Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers is a good hotel to stay in if you need a place near the airport — and it’s still not too far from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed here for one night and reserved their largest room(the Family Room) online, which was 1595DKK($ 275USD), so it was pretty pricey. Along with the extra person charges, our overall stay cost $ 325. Our Family Room turned out to be two connecting rooms, so the price wasn’t too bad as it came out to about $ 140 per room. Although we were high up in the building, there wasn’t much of a view as they were constructing a new building next to the hotel. The rooms were simple, modernly designed, spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, and a large bathroom. Hotel amenities included complimentary Wi-Fi, power outlet adaptors, airport shuttle service with Wi-Fi, electric car and bicycle rentals, business center, fitness center, and 24-hour room service. If you need to use the airport shuttle service, you do need to make a reservation, as spots fill up quickly. If you need to use a computer or print anything, you can do so at the business center. You’re supposed to pay a fee for each page you print, but this wasn’t enforced whatsoever. Speaking of which, when the front desk gives you power outlet adaptors, they’re supposed to keep track of which ones are going to which room(to prevent theft). The guy who gave them to me did no such thing; he literally happily handed a whole bunch to me without knowing my room number. The hotel also has a breakfast buffet at Storm, the only restaurant on site. You’re also supposed to pay for this, but again, no one enforces it. The only reason why I’m deducting a star is because no one on staff informed us of their bicycle rental service. It may not be completely their fault, but I asked the front desk how to get to Ismageriet, which was a bit of a far walk and no one bothered to recommend renting their bicycles… We ended up getting lost on foot and wasting a lot of time. And since the staff doesn’t really enforce anything, I think it shows a lack of professionalism, as a whole.

Great Room, Hotel, Lounge and Easy Access to Town and Airport I had been working in Aarhus for several weeks and decided to take a trip to Copenhagen for the weekend and stayed at the CPH Copenhagen Towers. It is a beautiful hotel big with modern nicely appointed rooms. The Executive Lounge is very comfortable with a nice offering of food and drinks. Breakfast was excellent. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and courteous. The location could not be better, it is just across the street(diagonally) from the Metro to town(buy the ticket at the front desk to receive a discount). Also, the train to the Airport or other points is there as well. When I visit Copenhagen again I will definitely stay here. Room Tip: Request an Executive level room if possible.

This is very modern and nice hotel. Location wise very closed to airport so if you are arriving late and don’t want to drive into the city or other part of country, this is good choice. As other Unilocaler mentioned, security is lacking. There were many access way wide open and not controlled. There are only couple guys behind front desk and only defense is key controlled elevator to your floor. I guess that’s the challenge of these big airport hotels, but seemed too relaxed. Check in was smooth, though I guess Europeans don’t have concept of waiting in line and it’s first come first serve, whoever speak up gets service first. So be sure loud and obnoxious, and you will be served fast. Room is very big, American size. Plenty of work space and okay bed(I’m not fan of Danish bed). Bathroom is… bath design I didn’t get, there is no way to prevent shower water spilling all over floor, where is curtain??? This is an airport hotel and also serve big companies in the area like 3M. Not far from downtown but be sure to map out your plan accordingly, since things don’t open late /closed on weekend, etc.

Wow! What a great hotel! Excellent customer service, the WHOLE staff is friendly and helpful. My sisters and I stayed for 5 days and we were well taken care of. There was a marathon going on and even though we were not a part of it all the staff working the buffet that night hustled and made sure we were fed and comfortable. Our room was great and the bar is so awesome with awesome bartenders. I love how spacious the area is. The hand burgers were fantastic my cocktails were spot on. We loved how convenient the metro was walking distance. Magde, Morton everyone in the club lounge made our stay even extra special. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Robbery in Lobby of Hotel: We recently were checking into the Hotel when my wifes purse was stolen in broad daylight by perpetrators who are aware that the hotel has zero security. They have security cameras but no one watching them except 3 days later when there is a problem. They do not have bell captains or conceirge services and the general manager threatened me with legal action if I wrote up a negative review on travel websites. So fellow travellers be vary of these hotels even if they offer a good rate. Incidentally, Tripadvisor refused to print a negative review, so it is obvious that websites like Trip Advisor are biased websites supported by the hotel and airline industry.

Stayed at Crowne Plaza for two nights with my fiancé and absolutely loved it! Lovely and spacious room. Complimentary cookies, chocolate, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Even a lavender scented spray and rollerball to help with sleeping. On the floor right outside the lift there are some complimentary drinks and fruits. Amazing breakfast selection as well.

Komme gerne wieder.
