I don’t think you would end up at this hotel as a tourist, I hope you won’t! This hotel is fine but it has nothing special to offer, specially when comparing the price range to other hotels. The winning point for them is that they are located very close to a semi-industrial area and some big company offices, a walking distance of few minutes, you can skip paying for taxi over and over which is economic and convenient. That is exactly how I ended up here 3 – 4 times. The rooms are clean and tidy, very basic though. Rooms have iron & iron board which is perfect but no fridge. It is not possible to keep a bottle of cold water in the room which to my eyes, it is a drawback. Many sockets, I think I counted up to 7 in my room! I think it is very useful. Comfortable beds and very good sound proof windows which means a good sleep, always important. Rooms also have AC Bathroom is big & clean & again, basic. What surprised me right away was the towels. clean but very thin and old, even kind of small. No where close to nice feeling of thick white hotel towels. The whole towel was totally wet after shower & I don’t even have long hair. Regarding common areas, I always have such a long days when staying there that I never get a chance to try the gym but they have one. The Bar & dining area is relatively big & offers large space for groups. Bar is open until 00:00 offering a menu of cocktails, wine, draft & bottled beer including food. Cocktail menu is fine as well as the taste of the cocktails and they offer few different draft beers, including Jacobsen brown ale, so I made it through :) However, my experience with food didn’t went so well. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken & the whole idea was to get the food as fast as possible so I can get some extra rest afterwards. Guess what? It took 45 minutes for my salad to show up! They very nicely apologized and offered an extra beer but it didn’t help me with timing. And when the salad came, I got a bowl of big chunks of Lettuce, big & hard croutons which was mostly dried than fried and two big pieces of chicken, half a breast, on top. Chicken tasted fine but pieces should be smaller. I couldn’t eat croutons, way too hard to be eatable & I left one third of lettuce, you can’t just leave a half leaf of lettuce in a bowl and call it salad. I was very disappointed, the only high point was the friendly bar tenders trying to handle the situation in the best possible way. I should say, the reception personnel have been very friendly & helpful as well. All in all, if you need to be in the area for business, this place is fine but otherwise, I think you will be able to find better options with the same or even lower price.

As Scandic hotel goes it is very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Standard Scandic breakfast — notjing more nothing less. It is good — for those of you who never stayed at Scandic before. Location is not good at all. In the middle of nowhere. No or few restaurants or bars nearby. We didn’t even find an open one. Prepare to walk.

If you are planing to stay here, ask for a room in the new area. In the old building the floor is creaking and from inside your room you hear this. Else, the hotel is good, personal is nice and helpfull. Close to trains and busses :-)

WOO-HOO!!! First! I have to start writing more reviews/finding restaurants and hotels in foreign countries on Unilocal. It’s nice to be the first one in… That’s What HE Said! Ok, now the serious stuff. Was here for The Hive 2014 conference for 2 days of meetings and a 1 night stay. When you enter, there’s a great open layout, a well-lit lobby, and a definite Nordic interior design vibe. It’s an excellent option for a conference hotel in Copenhagen, but not the«sexiest» hotel here. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT Staff super friendly and helpful, if you could get to them. I noticed at certain peak times in the morning/night that there were HUGE lines, and I think they need to staff better at those times. CONFERENCECAPABILITIES The conference rooms, both the large ones and the smaller meeting ones are great and well set up. I would say that it felt a little warm/needed more ventilation but maybe that was just something that could still be controlled! The chairs weren’t the most comfortable for long sitting, but I guess you don’t want to fall asleep at the conference most times. We had about 200 people there and I think everyone was decently happy with the layout. They had great self-service coffee machines, a nice courtyard to hang out in during breaks, and free interent/WiFi. All super key… FACILITIES I didn’t check out the exercise room(or pool? Not even sure that was one), but the lounge/restaurant/bar area was all well-designed and well lit, very Nordic modern hipster. The bar is not going to get crazy and wild, like the W or something; the night we came back on Saturday night around 2 am, the entire lobby was dead. But everything looked real nice and happening and bustling in the daytime. Good layout, great to get work and stuff done in the large lobby, lounge, etc. FOOD Pleasantly surprised by the food/lunch buffet we had(still gonna eat one more breakfast and lunch, but if it’s anything like the first lunch I’m happy). We prepaid as part of the conference cost so I can’t tell you how much it costs/if it’s a good value, but the overall food quality was like a 3.5 or so and plenty of options. We had one fish fillet option, steak, a large salad bar, and quality bread/cheese ROOMS This is the only place I think the hotel kind falls short. It’s well designed for sure and looks nice when you get in, but there are weird things, like a «MINIBAR» labeled area with no minibar inside, a shower stall that looks a little ghetto and makes it very hard to wash in if you are just using the sink because of shower stall layout. But AC, TV, WiFi was all good. Walls and Ceilings and Floors a bit thing. It’s an acceptable business hotel room, with lots of wood inside, but nothing totally special. Decent beds, I completely passed out. LOCATION Great convenience right next to the Syndhaven Metro stop, but it’s not in a very sexy neighborhood. There are some eating options around but the neighborhood is not the nicest outside/not great clubbing/bar/etc options. It’s meant for a quick taxi ride(about 10 minutes to MeatPacking District by cab) or to hop on/off metro. Honestly, I’d overall give it more like a 3.5 ranking than a 4, but for the value for the money(I paid about $ 160 for the room, I think that’s a decent deal in the central Copenhagen area) and conference experience I’m feeling charitable! Copenhagen rocks btw! Definitely come…
