Very cool open air dining spot in Santiago. Lots of options for contemporary delicious fare and even better cocktails. Try the variety appetizer to share and the pisco sour is perfect.

The view(5⁄5), ceviche mix(5/5-probably the best I’ve had. Not too sour, just enough to taste the freshness of the seafood), entrana steak(4÷5− pretty good but wish the plate is better at keeping the temperature, by the time we are about to fish the remaining steak was cold-unless you eat really really fast). Other side dishes were alright. Wine selection was pretty good.

Mestizo — couldn’t you you follow me home to Saint Louis? Okay, I know it’s farfetched but this place was so awesome!!! A colleague of mine recommended I try mestizo so I planned a lunch there the Sunday I arrived in Santiago. When my other colleagues arrived 3 days later, I had no hesitation taking them back for dinner! First of all, walking into Mestizo on a warm sunny day is almost overwhelming in itself. The restaurant has a very modern feel and overlooks the beautiful bicentenario park — the view alone would be worth going to see! Service was casual but very accomodating with very friendly servers both times I dined in. For lunch, I had the ribeye steak with white rice — it was cooked excellently and very well seasoned. The rice was so flavorful as well — I was so surprised as I didn’t expect anything other than white rice! When I came for dinner, we started with the trio of empanadas and I had the beef short ribs(asado de tira) with gnocchi and black truffle. Holy cow — this might have been the best beef short ribs I’ve ever had… the pasta component was amazing as well. Empanadas were awesome as well! Both meals, warm bread was served with a kind of salsa which was really great. I had to try a pisco sour as it was my first time in Chile and this was excellently prepared. Be mindful if you visit that there is no English menu but if you speak some spanish, you should get by fine. I felt so privileged to visit Santiago for business and Mestizo was one of a few reasons I absolutely loved the city!!!

This was an absolutely lovely location with divine food. When I found this place online, I couldn’t wait to take my husband there while on our honeymoon. We arrived and were taken aback by the view. We sat outside to take in the beautiful garden setting. We dined in the evening so they brought out fire pits to keep, us and the other diners, warm. It made the ambiance even more romantic. Our waitress, Tiffani, took great care of us. She recommended great apps and complimented us on our attempt to speak broken Spanish. We ordered the ragu and a barbecue plate with truffle fries. EVERTYHING was quality, well prepared, and artfully presented. Overall, we had a lovely time, drinks were amazing, and the food was so so delicious. I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

This place served the best seafood I had in Santiago. I recommend the salmon. Their wine selection is also top notch and they make good mixed drinks as well(go for the pisco sours!) The restaurant has an open terrace overlooking the Bicentennial Park — such a unique and excellent ambiance for the daytime. The location is a bit inconvenient and out of the way but not too bad by taxi. Overall, this restaurant would have gotten five stars, but the service was not stellar. Verdict: Give it a try for a group lunch!

Great environment and great food. Name implies fusion of European and Native American cuisines. Many delicious entrees and appetizers. Entrera beef appetizer is great delicacy. Grilled octupos is a great entrée. In the summer the view over the park is beautiful.

You’ll need a reservation. Loud ambience. Pricey. We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter forgot about it. The bottle was brought after we started eating. Chupe was good, grilled octopus was the worst ever. Of a four day visit to Chile this was the worst and pricey restaurant. Chile is a paradise for foodies.

Great food great ambiance! Service was just OK but the food was great. Pachas are ok but the empanadas of ceviche and the pulpo are great. Had the tuna for main course and really enjoyed it. The risotto looked amazing.

We dined here our first night in the city. The concierge recommended this place after we explained we wanted amazing food, wine, and a top notch local experience. We were not disappointed! The service was superb, the atmosphere was modern, rustic and eclectic. It was a gorgeous setting with open fire pits and decadent views of the urban surroundings. Sexy and fun. The food was all divine. I liked the grilled octopus the most and the syra we had here was 5 star. Prices are so reasonable it’s amazing! Of the many dining experiences we had in Chile this place is in my top 3. Go there.

Excelente restaurante!

I dine at Mestizo every time I’m in Santiago. It’s simply spectacular. From the view to the food and service. The«machas»(baked Razor Clams with Parmasan cheese) are not to be missed. Reservations are strongly recommended as this is a very popular restaurant — especially when the weather is nice. My 2 cents/pesos Greg T.

Amazing view of the park, and outstanding food. This restaurant is directly in front of a great park called ‘Bicentenario.’ Ambiance is classy. Get one of the entrees or the typical Chilean specialty. seafood shells with cheese. There is a good variety of food here for people with all tastes. High quality wine as well. Perfect as a date spot, or a special occasion group dinner or brunch.
