Delicious! I’m staying at a hotel near by and placed an order for delivery. Food was delivered much sooner than the quoted time and right to my door! Ordered the general Tao and crispy beef combos.(9.99 each) Both were amazing! Delivered steaming Hot, Great flavour and great portions for the price. I have to subtract 1 star because of the delivery bag wasn’t packed well. There was sauce all over the bag and on the containers of food. So I made a bit of a mess in my hotel room! If I’m in the area again I will definitely order from here! Excellent quality food and portions

The food is fresh. And the portion is little bit larger comparing to the other restaurants on the same street. The chef is professional ! Real Cantonese food. Even though the price is little bit high.

Always super friendly staff, great prices, the food is always on point and consistently good. Prices are excellent, just a solid establishment! I’ll always hit Yan’s if I’m craving chinese.

I’ve been a regular of Yan’s Kitchen for about 7 years. The service is amazing, they really make you feel welcome and the food is fantastic considering it is a casual dining, low-cost restaurant. It’s definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in Windsor if you’re looking for a normal meal(i.e. not dim-sum).

Decent Chinese food close to the University of Windsor Yan’s Kitchen is a tiny unassuming place next to Phở Xic Lo on Wyandotte close to Campbell Ave. The restaurant is bit cramp but the interior is a lot nicer than the exterior will have you believe. The parking lot is complete crap though, but there’s plenty of street parking to make up for that. The place serves up Cantonese, Szechuan, and surprisingly, Japanese dishes. I’m not sure I’d come here for Japanese food or sushi or anything. The service was really friendly and the menu is fairly large. Lots of different options.(Be sure to ask for a Chinese menu if you didn’t come for Canadian Chinese food). We ordered up shrimp wonton and beef brisket in noodle soup. We also ordered Two Kinds of Pork Loin and Mixed Meat with Bean Curd in Hot Pot. The shrimp wonton and beef brisket in noodle soup was good. They use a thinner noodle similar to the kind they cook up in the chow mein. The soup was rich and the smell was great. The shrimp wontons were good and were actually shrimpy(I know this sounds dumb but some places will mix the shrimp filling with some other meat like pork) The beef brisket was very tender and the soup in general was good. The Two Kinds of Pork Loin was good. Not great. One side of the dish is sliced pork loin flash fried with spicy salt. The pork was good but a bit dry. The spicy salt coating was good though and I thought the taste was pretty good as well. The other side is pork loin covered in this red sauce(similar to Sweet and Sour sauce). I thought it was a bit too thick and sweet. The sauce was a bit overbearing, but the pork was more tender for this one. The Mixed Meat with Bean Curd was good too, but not enough meat. I’m a carnivore, so i’m a bit a biased. The mixed meats consisted of squid, shrimp, chicken, roast pork, and mushrooms. The meats were good and they sit atop a bed of bean curd(tofu). The dish overall was good because of the portion and the sauce was very tasty. Mixes well with steamed rice. Overall, not a bad dining experience. None of the dishes eclipse $ 10 and there are so many other different dishes to try. I like these Chinese places because of the sheer variety of dishes that are offered to you. However, I thought Yan’s Kitchen wasn’t as good as other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in the Windsor region. Definitely worth a visit though and it’s so close to the University anyways.
