I really wanted to like this place and gave it several tries, going for a creamy baked pseudo-western dish, a spicy Szechuan dish, and a mild stir fry, respectively, to cover a wide range of styles. Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything I tried to be very good. The rice is hard, the portion is small, and the presentation is pretty much non-existent. The ‘creamy’ dish was bland(too much corn starch for thickening and not enough actual ingredients?). The spicy dish was okay, but pretty simple and not something I’d go out for. The stir fry was moist/soggy — which authentically wok-fried stuff really shouldn’t be? I ended up packing the food, bringing them home and re-cooking them the last time I went. At least the rice was amazing for frying because they were so dried already. I think the store is very popular with the international Chinese students, though, so maybe it’s a cultural thing.

My husband raves about this restaurant, he said it was his absolute favourite place to go in his university days years ago. Just today we revisited after a few years and it is quite delicious and the quality was very good. We ordered the Portuguese chicken, Singapore noodles and iced Hong Kong milk tea. I liked it so much I plan to return soon. My husband was looking for his old favourite on the menu called Wasabi chicken but it was no longer available, perhaps they could add it back to the menu one day again. Overall a very satisfying tasty meal, I recommend ordering the items on their«most popular» board.

It’s pretty good. Service is good, food is decent – I just wasn’t blown away by it. I’ve had better but I wouldn’t mind going back again.

Hands down best Asian restaurant in Windsor. Always love to eat here if I want rice… So many choices of dishes. And spicy foods are delicious!

It’s more of a 3.6÷5 for me but I’ll round up. I’ve been here for Kagerou Ramen House but never for Eros although I’ve wanted to so here I am. The first time, I got their tofu pad thai which was actually really good. Very flavourful, the lime enhanced it, and I didn’t mind the peanuts(I usually ask for none but I forgot this time) since it added a nice texture to my meal. I was not fond of the fried tofu and I ended up leaving the majority of it untouched. I was hoping for fried tofu but with a softer middle. I also had their Thai style hot & sour chicken which was tasty and the amount of spiciness was great. I do recommend trying both! The second time, I came with a friend and I had the Chef’s special Szechuan Pepper Chicken. I actually ordered this because I saw it on Instagram from someone else. They had theirs with noodles whereas I was given white rice. The chicken was soft and crunchy and so delicious. The first few bites of my meal, I really liked the flavour but as I kept eating, the sourness and amount of pepper was throwing me off. The spiciness was great though. I did finish my meal though. I don’t recommend getting this dish if your stomach is weak to spicy, sour, and very peppery food. Coming back here again to try their udon!!!

Really liked the food. Nice red curry and pad thai. That said, the portions had a TINY amount of chicken/veg and were served with a huge mound of rice. I thought it was a mistake at first. Then the pad thai came out. 7 or 8 tiny slices on a large plate of noodles. I am not exaggerating. Indifferent service. Quite disappointing

Went there today for lunch and ordered the Szechwan Pepper Chicken. It was delicious and the chicken was crispy and it comes with a side of white rice and this spicy garlicky oil sauce(not sure how else to describe it). I was so full(portions are huge) but I couldn’t stop eating. I’ve also had the Baked Portuguese chicken. It’s pretty good, but just make sure you’re in the mood for curry. I would suggest trying the stir fried red chili paste with chicken. Some reviews on other sites say that the service isn’t friendly, probably because of the old man at the front. Ummm he’s probably in his 70’s, and he doesnt speak english that well, so get over it. But he’s always been nice to me, and his wife is really nice. Definitely give it a try. You’ll definitely get good value for your money.

Probably my favourite restaurant in Windsor. Cheap and huge portion sizes(perfect for students). I usually get the chicken pad thai, but everything on the menu(especially everything on special) is tasty. It gets kind of busy if you go around rush times, and they close early. It’s a small family owned/operated restaurant down the street from the University. The owner is there 95% of the time, and he’ll talk to you and help you order if you’re not sure what you want. He’s a really nice guy, except he keeps trying to give me candy for some reason, and if i say no he just stuffs it into my takeout bag when i’m not looking.

#78 Red Curry Chicken and a mango smoothie. Done deal. I have never tried anything else and don’t plan on doing so. The owner of this place will not share the recipe of that chicken either, it’s so good. :)

More like 3.5 stars, but there are some negatives that pushed it to just«A-OK» in my book. Eros is a tiny little Asian eatery sandwiched between a hair salon and Giglio’s Market. The place is pretty small and always seems to be packed during lunch hours. The décor is kind of cozy and the service is typically friendly(especially the old lady who works there late sometimes). It does suck that it closes before prime dinner time(7 pm). The menu is fairly big and doesn’t really have a theme by country, but they do have a lot of interesting items. Not very authentic food, but tasty nonetheless. I’ve tried the Portugese Chicken here before and i thought it was good. It wasn’t spectacular or anything, but it was solid. it is a baked chicken dish that comes with curry over baked fried rice. The chicken was very tender, but I thought the curry was a bit overpowering(taste and smell). I didn’t even really expect it as I don’t think it mentions curry on the menu, but I’m glad I tried it at least. The Teriyaki Chicken was actually very good. It was a simple dish. Just flame-grilled chicken tossed in a sweet teriyaki sauce over a bed of rice. The chicken still had a thin layer of skin on it, but it was crisp and worked well. The sauce was a bit sweet but not overpowering it all. The dish was very filling as the portion size was good. A bit pricey($ 9) for a dish you can get elsewhere for cheaper. My friends tried the udon noodle, which looks good but never has the meat to veggie ratio a carnivore like me would ever choose to order. The curry fried rice with beef is decent and a tad on the spicy side. If you’ve never had curry fried rice, you should definitely give it a shot. The spicy garlic chicken was great but it can get sickening after a while. The sauce is a little thicker hot sauce and it’s a bit more sweet but still has a kick to it. The mango smoothie($ 3.99 for a small) here is great in my opinion! My friends tried a spoon of it(yeah, its a little thick), and thought it was… meh. But I enjoyed it. it wasn’t too sweet and definitely was a great refreshment. It’s thick enough for a spoon, but liquidy enough well a fat straw(like the one you’re given) will suffice. They have other flavors too, but I can’t remember much else besides strawberry… Overall, the prices are a little high based off the portions and all. You can get the same kind of dish for cheaper elsewhere, but they are tasty and the place is really close to the University of Windsor. Definitely a great spot for lunch and pretty much everything on the menu is solid.
