I have been to the Pat & Hank’s on Tecumseh quite a few times, but this was my first visit to the Wyandotte Street location. The Wyandotte location is much smaller and really just a take out. Pat & Hank’s has been in Windsor for over 60 years doing fish & chips. They have a large seafood menu for fish & chips.
The Cod and Haddock are both $ 12.70 for a two piece fish & chip meal and you can add a third piece for 15.95. The Halibut is $ 16.95 and that is for one larger filet along with chips. The Halibut has become pricey as a fish in the last few years, but Pat & Hank’s are still getting their Halibut shipped in whole from the Pacific Coast and filleted in house. They even have Yellow Perch fish & chips. I usually get the two piece Haddock fish & chips which has been fairly descent. The fries could be a little more«fresh cut», the slaw was good and the bread roll is just a afterthought. It does seem a like little better fish at the Tecumseh location… not sure if it was a take out thing. I opted for the«Breaded» Haddock as they give you a choice between Battered(great with the Cod), Breaded(panko) and even grilled too. Take Out Only

I may have picked the wrong time to come here on Good Friday, but based on past visits(a long time ago) I was expecting much better. The fish & chips here is greasy, and there really isn’t a whole lot of flavour. The fries were a bit over cooked as well. What makes this place so popular I’m not really sure of, maybe it was purely that fact that it was Good Friday. The employees were nice, but to add to the already half hour wait I experienced, they didn’t give me one of my orders, so I had to drive back to pick it up. I can’t really see myself coming back, I remember Pat & Hanks being better in the past, but not so much now.
