We went here for my friends birthday a couple month’s ago –The servers were kind of snappy –The wine taster was good –they gave us free chips and bread –the soup was good –I got a pasta that was decent but oily –the girl beside me got a pasta that was drowning in oil. When the server came to pick up her pretty much full plate, she asked if she was done? To which she responded yes. Then the server said it was too oily huh? The server then took her pretty much full plate of pasta and that was that. Lol, if the server knew it was too oily & inedible why did she serve her it & charge her the full amount? –idk it’s an extremely mediocre restaurant, sad but I went to an Applebee’s that was vastly superior

Having dinner with friends from work and we met here. Menus and request for our drinks was right away. I had the spicy thai soup and pulled pork on flatbread. The flatbread was very very good but the soup I sent back as it was flavourless, not spicy and cold. The waitress told me right away she would take it off my bill I didn’t even have to ask. I had ordered the thai soup based on recommendations so it could have just been a bad night. A great place to visit with friends. No one rushed us out and we were there for two hours visiting. The parking lot was crowded when we left around 7:00 p.m. I think this place is always busy.

I’ve been coming here for years! Love the food, menu should be added to though. Had a birthday dinner with a friend on Friday and the server recommended a blush pasta with 6oz steak on top — that was GOOD! Had a caesar, ordered it extra spicy. Wasn’t spicy at all and was pretty much all ice. Overall good night.

What a great place for quick lunch with friends. Great location in the heart of Windsor with lots of parking. Menu with great selection, and also wonderful specials every day. People that work there are so friendly. Love my servers, specially Martin and Hasko. Very professional. This place never fails, always open and you are always able to get a nice table, although they are busy. I will always recommend it, and will always take my friends there. I just wish they would add some sushi selection to their menu.

Since this spot has been close to my neighbourhood for 20 years or so, I have to say this review is only for Jose’s latest iteration. I would give a 4 star review for Jose’s Noodle Factory. The food was pretty pub-standard, some weird mexican-italian fusion, it was more just a spot to have some beers and cheap appetizers. Their wings were once very good! They had pool tables, you ate peanuts and discarded shells on floor, and they would show PPV events. Now to present day: They have totally revamped the design, unrecognizable really. It is very nice inside and out. The problem is, that the price of food is paying for the renos! To be fair, I’m not looking for nice décor or a place for a first date, as I’m just so used to this being«the neighbourhood joint». They do have an awesome selection of cold beers on tap! The appetizers are still on discount after 9pm, the antijitos are always tasty. But the main reason for a 3 star review? I went here craving nachos. only to find that the nacho platter with either chicken or beef was $ 18.99!!! They must be insane! I won’t be back to eat, just cannot justify the food price vs. food quality.

We had dinner at Jose’s Bar an Grill tonight. It was a wonderful surprise. The clientele include all ages, family, couples, small groups etc. The menu has an option for every type of food. You will definitely be able to find something to eat. Our server Dayna was energetic, pleasant and made the dining experience an experience. On of the guests had the Rib special — it was tasty and she had to take some home for tomorrow. Another guest had the Diablo Shrimp Linguini — it was light and tasty and had a bit of a bite. I had the homemade lasagna — which was tasty and filling. The portion size was perfect. The pasta meals came with unlimited salad and garlic bread — a great treat. If you are in the Windsor area it is a must eat at!

Prior to my visit to Jose’s Bar and Grill I wasn’t expecting too much, when I first heard of Jose’s it was actually called Jose’s Noodle Factory and the sign featured a man in a sombrero. So with this image in my mind I was expecting a Mexican style pub, average service, average food and affordable prices. This is not what I got, instead I found myself at a much different Jose’s than I had imagined. This newly renovated restaurant/brand ditched the man in the sombrero for a new clean/sleek image and name complemented by contemporary colors. This theme continued to the interior where the restaurant was aesthetically more of the upscale variety, similar to an Earls or Moxie’s. Not the conventional pub I was expecting! Shortly after being seated and putting in our drink orders we were given complementary tortilla chips and salsa, I was not expecting this at all so it was a welcome treat. The chips were nothing special and the salsa was a bit too mild for my liking, but it was free so meh lol :). Their menu is very large; they have appetizers, soups, salads, pasta, entrees, a special tex mex section, burgers, wraps and a condensed lunch menu. Despite being recommended the Chicken Parm Wrap I ended up choosing the Buffalo Style Burger. Not long after that the freebies continued: O, we were given complementary garlic bread. Where the chips/salsa fell short the bread exceeded expectation, it was delicious :)! Our food was well presented and brought out in good time. I was a bit disappointed by my Buffalo Burger simply because the blue cheese crumbles were a bit overwhelming and took away from the usual Buffalo Sandwich taste I’m used to, but the fries were good. I snuck in a couple bites of my fiancée’s Chicken Parm Wrap and she was definitely right to recommend it. It was delicious and easily bested my dish. Our server was always checking up on us and making sure we had what we needed, overall solid job on the service end. So despite picking the wrong thing on the menu my visit to Jose’s was a decent one. We got better service than I expected, the food selection/quality was also much better than expected and the prices were still affordable. Much better than the Mexican style pub I has wrongly envisioned. I have no doubt that Jose’s would deliver a 4⁄5 experience on most visits, next time I won’t go with the Buffalo Style Burger though.

James and company treated me like a million dollars here. I went for my birthday lunch and they immediately bought a round of beers. Then when I was concerned about beef cooking standards(I’m an Australian living across th river in the US) he guaranteed the quality of the burgers and they did not disappoint. Fantastic food and drink. I will definitely be returning soon!

Came on a Friday evening. The place was pretty busy. It was my first time here since they renovated(I know, it’s been that long). The place looked great. I love the set-up of how tables for large groups are separated from the booths for 2 – 4 people. Some of the food we ordered was delicious(Thai Calamari, spicy Thai soup), while some of it wasn’t asiago chicken panini, spicy shrimp Cesar salad). The Cesar salad was just plain gross. The shrimp was doused in that spicy Thai sauce and placed on top of the salad, which mixed in with the Cesar dressing. This was not a good mix, not mention the warm sauted onions and green peppers. Our server was great! We politely told her how we didn’t like the salad at all and she saw that it was barely touched and she voluntarily removed the salad from our bill. The menu has some pretty unique items and I look forward to coming back and trying them out.

Thanks to a recent reno the atmosphere had greatly improved. However the menu did not receive the same attention. The food is average at best.

Went with my family on a Sunday morning just as they opened. The host and server were very polite and friendly. I ordered the haddock as it was on special. I was really surprised at how much you got for the price. They started me off with a generous and delicious Caesar salad, followed by a hot loaf of garlic bread. Then the entrée came, and I was impressed for the most part. The coleslaw was very good. The fries were not impressive. Dry, and not very tasty. Oh well. The fish was awesome tho. Very tasty. Lightly battered. I was very impressed.

Dined in on a Friday night. Disappointed as it came highly recommended by my nephew. Average food, decent beer selection. Service fast, wasn’t overtly attentive.

Went for lunch. Food that was okay, and the menu mid range in price. Tex-Mex, nothing exciting. What was the best was the service staff — good attention to details and friendly.

I wanted to put a 3.5 rating but oh well. I came here a few times before they revamped and once after. Jose’s calamari rings are tasty but a bit too rubbery and feels like it could be cooked more. I love their fish and chips. LOVEIT! The reason why I’ve given Jose’s an A-OK rating is because the service is alright, the food is good, but the wait time is… questionable.

In the past couple of months, I’ve been lucky enough to go to Jose’s Bar and Grill. The place has relaunched from its past name of Jose’s Noodle Factory and the building looks amazing. But this isn’t about Aesthetic, this is about pizza. At the very least, the pizza is interesting. The first time I was there, I ordered the vegetarian pizza, and found it too sweet, which I attributed to the pineapple. I don’t order pineapple on my pizza, but I glanced over the menu, saw vegetarian, and was on automatic, so the fact my pizza was tainted was my own fault. The second time, however, I ordered the California pizza, with artichoke, asiago, sundried tomato, roasted red peppers, basil, and mozzarella cheese. This time, I figured out the sweet debacle. The sauce used for the pizza is the same used for their spinach dip. A heavy creamy rich flavour. Rich to the sake of sickening in some cases. This is also where I figured out they only use a tomato sauce on their pepperoni pizza. I always love new ways to make and eat pizza, but in this case, I think it oversteps the bounds just a bit too much. The pizza makes you feel bombarded rather than relaxed. If you’re going to buy a pizza at Jose’s, it’s my recommendation that the pizzas with non-traditional sauces should be more split with friends and family rather than shared. The strength of the sauce is too much for any mere mortal. Teamwork required. Morning After I found that the morning after dulled some of the flavour making it a bit easier for consumption. The trade off is that the strongest flavour is still the asiago and artichoke sauce and that sauce makes you feel like your veins are hardening PIzza: 3 out of 5 Morning After: 3.5 out of 5

Stopped by on a lark while traveling with my family The name is now Jose’s Bar and Grill. Struck me as bit upscale. Nice black/red décor with a yuppie type crowd. Mix of Italian, Mexican, American food fare. Served chips and salsa right away. Chips light and crunchy. Salsa tad salty and ordinary. I had a nice chicken pasta dish with a rosa sauce. Nice portion. Best part was it came with all you can eat soup. Their Italian wedding soup as well as their cream of broccoli was very good. Flavor was very balanced on the soups. My son had a chimichanga. It was nice but nothing special. Lacked creative touches. Rice pilaf that came with it was bit bland as well. My daughter had a chicken wrap. Again, nice but lacked«punch.» My wife just had soup. She chose their Thai soup. It was quite tasty with many layers of flavor. So all in all, a great place for soup. For other fares, adequate but could use some more inspiration for food flavors.
