I do have a hard time understanding how that guy from Dragon’s Den can be so rich from this chain! No one I talk to seems all that impressed with this place and it didn’t make the best impression on me, either. Firstly, I have a huge problem with«cookie cutter restaurants». Restaurant chains that have such generic décor and atmosphere that you can’t tell them apart(they could’ve suddenly switched the sign outside to Applebee’s or Jose’s Bar and Grill while I was in there and I wouldn’t have batted an eyelash). Oftentimes, the menus are identical, too. At least, Boston wins out a bit in that department. They’re more about pizza than tex-mex or the other bland, lifeless fare that you find at these paint-by-number restaurant chains. The pizza is pretty good — I will give it that. But the price! Wow! For the amount they’re charging, this pizza should be giving me an orgasm with every bite. But it’s not doing that. It’s still quite good, don’t get me wrong. But not worth what they’re charging. I won’t lie, I got a gift card for the place. Otherwise, I would never spend that much for pizza! The service is passable, too. But, like most of the cookie cutter restaurant chains, the staff seems to be there more to socialize with each other than to provide service to the customers. They see that our drinks are low and will offer us a refill, once they’re done catching up on the latest gossip with the employee who just came on shift. All in all, a very mediocre place to eat. Which wouldn’t be so bad if the prices were mediocre, too. But if I’m expected to pay as much as I am for my meal then everything should be a whole lot better than it is. If I get another gift card. I’ll be back. Otherwise, I’ll stick to Pizza Hut for dine-in pizza!
