I am very sorry to say this but the customer service at Cascadia is terrible. The cashiers do not look as if they are enjoying working here. It is really disheartening for us when we go in — they are not friendly at all and we really dread having to deal with them. I would like to single out a couple of the women in particular, but the staff do not wear name tags so I cannot name them. My hope is that the manager reads this review and has a «pep talk» with his/her crew. We have been regular customers for many years and have to say the baked goods are of tremendous quality! The pies, brownies, carrot cake, bread, soup, cookies and other lunch items are all excellent — I can’t say anything but positive remarks about the skill of the bakers and their obvious love of the work they do. This is the reason we continue to frequent this establishment and give them our business. My one star rating is only to ALERT the owners of Cascadia to the serious disservice some of their front-line staff is doing to the bakery.

I’ve been here a couple times now and the latte has quickly entered my top three in the city. Not only that, but I appreciate a bakery that has a nice selection of pastries and not bogged down with all chocolate goods. Despite having to pay for parking, I’d easily park 5 blocks away and make my way here just because of the quality. Service could use a smile, but everyone is friendly enough.

Cute place, really like the layout and design. Cute art, and love being able to see into the bakery. Had a delicious americano and enjoyed the patio! :)

Yum! Amazing baked goods. If I can get away from the office and the weather is nice on my coffee break, I’ll go here to grab a treat for that afternoon sweet tooth craving. My favourite is the double chocolate mint cookies. They weren’t there the last time I stopped by, so hopefully they haven’t been discontinued. They are my go to no love them! Everything else is great as well. Awesome pumpkin spice cookies in the fall!

Woke up Early on thanksgiving to be there at opening so I could grab one of their amazing pumpkin pies. It was worth it! Next year I will be sure to reserve one in advance so I can sleep in a bit.

Wait, what? I’m astonished that there aren’t more reviews of this excellent little bakery and café on Unilocal, which is usually so useful and info-rich. Look, the food in this town is crappy. I’m sorry, it’s true. I have gone days paying too much for crappy beer, crappy coffee, crappy confections, crappy everything. Canada is just not a place that appreciates good food. It ASPIRES to cook old-fashioned ENGLISH food. Right? This café is toney, comfy, and has excellent, thoughtful pastries made with Pure butter. My cappuccino was perfect – nice and dry.

The source of the legendary ReBar focaccia bread. Soup on a cold rainy day, fresh bread. Sold.
