I’m a big fan of Wendy’s salads. While the price is a little steep for fast food, it really is a great alternative to the usual heavy food court offerings. The salads are generously packed into the container, making this a decent sized meal. And they’ve done a good job putting together combinations that work. The seasonal summer salad comes with fresh strawberries, sunflower seeds, red onions, bacon, and nice chunks of creamy blue cheese. A sweet vinaigrette goes nicely with it, and I find I only need one of the two pouches provided which leaves me with an extra pouch to take home. I also appreciate that it isn’t just straight up iceberg lettuce. I noticed a few fancy greens mixed in. Not alot, but enough to make it interesting. As for the grilled chicken that tops the salad, I suspect it’s heavy on the salt content. It has a juiciness that can only come from being brined. Rather than stress about it, I enjoy it for the taste and remind myself that the rest of the salad is fresh and healthy. I never regret getting a Wendy’s salad even when I’m watching my friends scarf down burgers n fries. Often times, their meals are long gone and I’m still noshing on greens because there’s so much there.

Wendy’s is no longer the same without the $ 1.39 menu. It’s $ 1.89 for the cheap stuff now. But $ 1.79 for a baked potato! So value wise McDonald’s still wins. Anyway this location is connected to a Tim Horton’s so it’s fun to pick up a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger and pair it with a Iced Capp a few steps down. Personally, if I’m just looking for cheap food, I’ll just go to the McDonald’s down the street at Burrard Station.

Is it bad that I have Wendy’s cravings? It’s always the fattiest, most delicious fast food meal I ever have. I allow myself a Wendy’s visit once in a blue moon, yes I do. Guys, if you know about the Frosty Float, then there is probably nothing else you want with your meal. The fries are always hot and fresh. The burgers come as shown in the pictures — or very close! All I know is: Wendy’s serves up the thickest patties in the business! It’s the closest branch to home, but it’s just all-round pretty great. I enjoy checking the«Employee of the Month» plaque and congratulating them accordingly. If you’re not up for Wendy’s, there is a Timmy’s right in the same room. Or, grab a coffee with your Wendy’s meal. I quite enjoy this Wendy-Tim combination. Find yourself craving Wendy’s in this neighbourhood? This is your Wendy’s!

To be honest, better than I expected. I don’t typically eat fast food, and probably haven’t eaten Wendy’s in 5 – 10 years. Today, however, was a research day. TIL: 1. Wendy’s in Canada serve poutine. 2. They make this thing called a pretzel burger, which is a burger served on a pretzel bun. Yum. 3. A meal can be a burger, a baked potato or fries, and a frosty. 4. Wendy’s doesn’t serve beer, like many other downtown burger options. 5. has a convenient nutrition facts checker, in which I learned: A ½ pound pretzel burger, with a small frosty and a side salad will cost you $ 9, quench any appetite with 719g of food, and provide you with the following micro and macro nutrients: 62 grams of protein, 80% daily value of Vitamin A, 50% of your daily Calcium, 70% of your daily Iron, 1200 calories, 64g of fat, and 111g of carbohydrates. Tl;dr — this one meal should be enough to power you through a 2 hour bike ride or run, easily. Definitely worth the $ 9.

The Burgers taste really fresh and awesome. The chilli is really a good bang for the buck and won’t get you fat.

Always a classic and favourite here, since usually the lineup is a lot shorter than Timmy’s ;) Other than the panhandlers, who at least don’t pesker you, it’s a bustlin’ vibe here. Their 99cent menu is crazy and generous, and the Frosty malt is a winner!

I’m not sure what it is, but Wendy’s in my books is on the ghetto end of fast food. Maybe it’s just because they haven’t moved upscale like McDonald’s, but it really does look like a place you’d take your kids to, and nothing more. Parking is awful here. However, that probably won’t be a problem here as you probably wouldn’t be making a trip across town for this. The seating area is large, but feels cramped because of all the people bustling about. Today I had a chance to try their double cheeseburger(½lb). It was mushy, and tasted like a giant ball of ground beef. To make myself feel better about the poor cow, I had the Garden Salad as a side. This salad actually isn’t bad. The vegetables seemed fresh, and the tomato chunks on top added a bit of tang. It came with Italian dressing(is there a choice?), which was a bit bland(not sour enough). Just a tip: you may not want to take a hot date here.

Pretty good, if I am on the hunt for something close by. The cashiers are the most bored people on earth though, and the reason they keep the bags open is to NOT have it handy to throw in condiments as you’d believe, but it’s all the better for the cashier to loft the bag at you. Not bad food. Mickey ds still rules all though.

I am a FAN of the new strawberry frosty at Wendy’s. I had one today after Aki and it soooo hit the spot. If you like strawberries and you love Wendy’s Frosty, this is it! And they top it with whipped cream and cherry, I know right, cherry on top at a fast food restaurant!!! OMG! I know, I am highly impressionable.

SLOWSLOWSLOW… I would give this place 1 star but this is the only Wendy’s in Vancouver that I have seen and I cannot abandon it altogether because I still need my super valu meals and frostys once in a while. The manager seemed like he didn’t even know how to place the order… and my frosty with M&M seemed watery after everything was blended. The chocoate pieces were too large, unlike the McFlurries from McDonalds. I just like their regular chocoalte frosties… but i know there is way too much competition and everyone is trying to upgrade. Oh wendy’s… just stick with your strengths. but it is wayyy better than fast food(most of the time).
