Never have I seen such a chaotic and incompetently run Tim Horton’s. The line is always massive and takes an unnecessarily long time. The staff are incompetent and constantly seem to be embroiled in some sort of drama, which is equal parts frustrating and entertaining. In addition, I’m not a fan of the mediocre food at Tim’s at the best of times.

This Tim Hortons is located on the side of UBC campus where everyone isn’t nuts. There are days when you just don’t want to deal with crazy 19 year-old girls tripping over themselves in heels trying to get to Angus in the rain, and taking selfies of themselves in their new power suit because«#Sauder» or «frosh!!!» or «#CUS» or whatever it is that day they deem Instagram worthy. Or when you get tired of Arts students running rampant protesting critical issues like composting pigeon poo, or whether the bagels being served are extremely sustainably organic or just normal organic. You know, important stuff like that, as opposed to other things like taking a shower, or washing those smelly dreadlocks that clear the halls of Buchanan every morning. It’s very peaceful at this Tim Hortons in Forestry. Nice place to get out of the rain, grab a hot chocolate, a doughnut, maybe a soup. Walk to the Life Science building where the non-crazy people are to study a bit in the late afternoon. I like it here.

located within the forestry building, this timmys is very busy but usually for the wrong reasons. what normally should be like a couple of minutes in line, turned into a 15min wait just to get a drink. the lack of punctual service and constent yelling by the staff trying to flag down people who ordered items is just as irratating. nothing much to say about this timmys, it is ran by ubc food services, who doesnt really get good grades for service or speed. prepare for long waits or head to a real coffee shop, like starbucks down the road on agronomy.
