I have never seen a Tim Horton’s. just so dead. Not saying that is a bad thing, but from the hours of 7 pm, and coming back around at about 8:20 pm, there was practically no one inside this place but the workers. How odd, where are the students, those who have their laptops open, have a super large ‘double-double’ in hand studying away for whatever they are trying to cram for? Well this is really not the case, and definitely not your typical scene at one of these places, for if you are craving the epitome of a Canadian symbol, and want some peace and quiet, this one really takes the cake. Never too fancy, and definitely not chic, but at the same time not grungy one bit, this one is on the corner of the block, like most of them, open 24 hours right on Broadway, and when I walked in, as my mother wanted to some Timbits, I noticed how orderly this place was, from the nicely stacked racks in the glass shelf showing all those donuts and other sweets, to the clearly shown menu behind the food. As I said, this one surprised as usually at this time all the Tim Horton’s I have been to at night don’t usually have a full assortment of Timbits, this one did, and many other donuts, a full assortment to deal with your sweet craze. I do not usually come to Timmy Ho’s, but this one has some nice seating tables right where the windows are, due to this being a corner shop, and some good people watching, even though this is in an area where it is not downtown, but across from the VSB you may get some people, if not you can watch the cars zoom by. I guess if you are really looking for a place to meet, study, somewhere quiet where you can have a warm drink and just relax, you are around this neighborhood, or are up in the middle of the night and the above apply, come here, as it seems the normal Timmy Ho’s crowd doesn’t seem to still know, or come to this location.

I came here to grab some steep tea on a rainy day and to use their bathroom. It is smaller than the other locations. Not much of for sit down room, especially on a down pour day but there is lots of standing room. Customer service was friendly.

Nice big place but Tim Hortons chocolate dipped donuts alway taste stale. They jus dont know how to make a spongy fresh donut. They didnt have white cake with chocolate, only double chocolate. There was a big wasp on the pink donut and I told them how to catch it and they were able to successfully do it.

For food, it was as good as expected, but the restroom situation knocks this place back a star. You need to get a key to use the restroom, which is disgusting since you have to hold a key that everyone in the world has touched with bathroom hands. Second, the bathroom had no toilet paper. Third, the bathroom stunk. It needed some cleaning. If you don’t use the restroom, four stars. If you use the restroom, two stars. The sour cream timbits are delicious.

I like it here, it’s clean it’s simple. I get the chicken salad combo for under $ 6, and sit by the window. They have a patio also.

I come to this location simply out of necessity, I love their tea and it’s on my way to work. I come through 5 days a week and order the same thing and they rarely ever get my order right and if by some off chance they do it’s because I had to repeat myself or correct them. It’s bad enough that they can’t get a simple tea order right but often times they are rude as well. One time in particular, I came in and ordered a sun dried tomato bagel and received a cinnamon raisin. I explained that this was not what I had ordered and the response I received was that I was wrong and that they didn’t screw up. They argued with me on this(almost like they weren’t going to correct it) until it got a little heated and awkward. I understand it’s a very busy location and mistakes happen but it’s been nearly a year and a half of steady visits which leaves me with little to no confidence in their competence. Their track record is barely mediocre.

It’s one of the slower customer service-oriented ones, but I like the corner layout, single row of tables in the back, and relatively easy to find parking in this area. Even try the side streets too as there’s enough on Broadway & Fir. And really, not as hectic as the DT ones.

Very Average Fast Food experience, I like the chicken warps for light lunch and chili is a good and more filling choice. For the most part I take a pass on the donuts and cookies.

I really only want to share this because it’s such a strange exchange that happens sometimes, when I happen to get one particular employee in the morning before I’ve breathed a word to any other human that day. Now, I would never want to get her in trouble, because a part of me enjoys the whole breakdown of customer/server relationship, and really, only the biggest douchbags in the world would want to get someone who works their ass off in a fast food job in trouble. And honestly, pretty much every single one of the employees at this particular Tim Horton’s are too smart to work at Tim Horton’s judging by the others I’ve been to. But I digress. In the morning, I order my prissy special order vegetarian breakfast sandwich, and when I get her, I brace for the hair insults. The breezy, smiling hair insults. She calls my hairdresser bad. NOONE calls MY hairdresser bad. He is like a hair magician. I, however, am a hair troll, and when I don’t hairspray my beloved slanty bangs into a solid wedge they go all funny with the slightest breeze. I also let my roots go, and some mornings I don’t even brush my hair anymore. I tell her this, and she refuses to believe it — my hair is shitty and my hair dresser is bad, and she wants to just reach over the counter and fix my bangs. I leave with my prissy sandwich feeling confused and sleepy, all pre-coffee and nervously brushing my bangs with my fingers. You’re a-ok with me though, hair insult girl. Keeping it real and keeping me on my toes.

This Tim Horton’s is so popular at lunch hour that the line goes out the door. Fortunately, it moves fairly quickly as the employees work efficiently here. They don’t take credit card, but only debit. One time, I only had a credit card on me, and the manager was nice enough to just say, «Come back and pay us later» and still give me my lunch. I felt like a better human being to be trusted like that! When I returned the following day to pay, the cashier was confused and didn’t know how to ring up the transaction, since I wasn’t technically buying a sandwich then. She was rather surprised that I came back to pay. Well, that made me feel even better. And isn’t that what Tim Hortons should do? Make you feel better. Usually, though, it’s with a coffee and a few Tim Bits.

This was my first Tim Horton’s experience ever and it was a bad one. When my family and I arrived it wasn’t busy so we were happy to just go straight to the front of the line .By the time we ordered 4 meals our bill was already 20 dollars and we were shocked. We finally realized the employee was charging us individually for everything we ordered rather than the meal price, and when I spoke to her about it she looked at me like I was an idiot. Finally a manager came through and helped us with the order which brought our bill back to $ 16 bucks and some change. When we gave the money, the lady looked at us like she didn’t know how to subtract 20 –16.43! AREYOUKIDDINGME! I had to do the math for her! Seriously shittty service! But the food was good :)
