Fantastic take out — as fresh and flavorsome as it gets. We would definitely recommend this place.

The beef with broccoli is a classic with a simple taste which is great since I don’t like complex things. Also in Vancouver having waitstaff that understand English is a plus! I look forward to trying something else in a few weeks.

BUGS!!! Well to start with there were ants behind the strip of wood on the wall between the dining area and kitchen. I sat there with my friend and we moved as a result as they crawled from the wall onto our table. I used to like the food here a lot. Seeing that made it not as tasty. It seems to be slowly getting worse. The ambiance of the restaurant is very low key. Seems like more of a fast food outlet.

They will nickel and dime you to death over delivery. There are better places to get take out that doesn’t have bugs.

Szechuan Chili has the best War Wonton in the city. It has flavour! The broth is delicious and Wontons are huge and tasty. Next visit I am going to try the Tan Tan Noodles. Other dishes I have tried… ginger beef, orange chicken and chow mein all good. Glad they are in my neighbourhood.

Terrible food… so disappointed… vegetables in the hot pot and chicken noodle soup were not cooked at all! Tasteless… I tried the tan tan noodle reading one of the review and it’s the worst thing I ever had!!! its a soup of peanut butter with a block of worst ever noodle! I wish we ordered from the great Japanese next door instead… never disappointed with them

They gave me the wrong dish for take out and when I called they were very defensive. They were not apologetic but they did offer to make the dish I asked for but was worried that they would do something to the dish as she was telling me that she has been doing this for 40 years. Any way food was average. Customer service is not so great. Might be better to write down your order.

Came for lunch with a friend and they did have some well-priced specials. We got the chicken black bean with rice and soup $ 8.95?, and also ordered off-menu some traditional szechuan dishes — water boiled spicy fish and hot and sour shredded potato. Should have asked the price first as the fish ended up being $ 16.95 for a small plate and the potato $ 9.95! They were tasty enough but I think I’ll ask them to make it spicier/more authentic next time.

Regular customers here for about a year. Previous meals had ben gods but really slipped in last 6 months. Delivery least night arrived luke warm. That was the best thing about it. Veg and tofu were overcooked and soggy. Beef was stringy and fatty. Pork was smothered in sauce. Last time we will order from here.

The Wonton Soup is honestly the best I’ve had in the city. Staff is quite friendly and polite. Easily one of the better Chinese restaurants in the city. Have yet to be disappointed by anything on their menu. Definitely one of my go-to Chinese restaurants. Prices are very reasonable in relation to the food portions.

Delish! I had the best XLB and Tan Tan noddle soup for dinner. Many of the other items on the menu are great as well. Who can beat great food at a great price and free parking to boot! Try it out!

I have no idea what«genuine» Szechuan is and I don’t pretend to be a connoisseur. But as far as your typical«let’s order chinese!» food goes, Szechuan Chili is my favorite choice. I stick to just a few dishes… ginger beef, wonton in spicy garlic sauce, lemon chicken and steamed rice; just the perfect hungover dinner. I went once to pick up an order and certainly don’t recommend eating in – the atmosphere was pretty awful. I’ve tried a lot of chinese delivery, but Szechuan Chili is the one I always come back to. Important tip though — I’ve found the food is a LOT better quality if you order between 4:30 — 6:00. Any later and the quality is really hit & miss.

This place is amazing. It is owned by a couple and they have the most delicious menu. Everything is hot and fresh and when we get delivery the containers are jammed with food. Big favourites are the honey garlic pork, chowmein, spicy sezchuan green beans, spring rolls, beef and broccoli and the mixed veg. The honey garlic pork is tasty and leaner than other places. They also serve dim sum which is another tasty option. they close between lunch and dinner and are closed sundays. If I had an unlimited takeout budget I would eat thier chowmein every day.

This review is for one dish only and only if you get this one dish. It’s about the Tan Tan Noodles. Made of dreamy peanutty sauce that is the essence to this dish. The noodles were a bit soft on the last dine in here, but they are usually good enough to forgive for this one night. Forget everything else. Just go for the Tan Tan Noodles. If you must. for variety, have some veggies or fried rice and make it spicy! If I were to review their Vegies with black bean sauce. I’d rate it a 2 or if it was the XLB(are they frozen?) I’d rate it a 1. So take the advice and concentrate on your TANTAN. You’ll become a FANFAN.
