Great rental spot for accessing Stanley Park. Staff could do a better job at sizing clients. My husband and I were put on the same sized bike — mine was too small, and his was even smaller. Friendly, efficient, happy for the experience.

Really convenient location (across the way from the entrance to Stanley Park) and lots of bike offerings. Only reason why I didn’t give Spokes a higher rating was they didn’t check our tires for our tandem bike before we rode off and the seats weren’t positioned well, which make pair riding even harder than it needed to be. All in all though, I’d still come back here and give this place another chance

Location couldn’t be better as it is across the street from the bike path. Service was quick and plenty of bikes were available. We rented cruisers that were in good condition for riding on the bike path that went around Stanley Park. Baskets can be added or taken off of the bikes as needed for no extra charge. Return process was smooth as well. Be sure to check in with Unilocal for a discount.

Great experience — very organized and well run, staff were helpful and friendly. Bikes were great quality. We were glad we went with city bikes instead of cruisers as having some gears came in handy for our ride around Stanley Park, which was a very memorable part of our visit to Vancouver.

Great location to rent a bike to ride around Stanley park. They are located right across the street from the bike path. We started there and headed all along the seawall and up past English Bay and Sunset Beach, past the Stadium, across to Gastown (city area), and back to the seawall and Spokes. Take your time, take snacks and drinks, take lots of pictures.
Spokes could have done a bit better job of noting key tourist stops, eats, etc.

Great place with lots of options. Cruisers, mountain bikes, hybrids, kids bikes and trailers.
We got 1 adult mountain bike with a trailer to hold 1 toddler and a kid mountain bike for $ 60. We rode around Stanley park for about 3.5 hours.
They are fast and efficient when checking in and out. They will even change your seat if you need more comfort.

My heart sank when I walked up the the store on a beautiful day and saw a huge crowd of people. Eek! It would take forever to get a bike rental.
Not so! They were very well staffed, and when I went there had 6 people checking folks in. They must have fewer lawyers in Canada, because the rental did not take all the paperwork rentals take in the US. It was really quick. They took a credit card imprint and asked to see an ID, so make sure to have those with you.
Literally in seconds, I finished the paperwork and one of the zillions of workers outside was getting me my bike. It was a nice quality bike and the whole experience went great. Also, this seems to be the most convenient rental shop to Stanley Park.

Great service and great staff. They were very helpful and made the transaction smooth. We had brought a coupon from our bed and breakfast rental and it was only for 1 biker half off. The lady behind cashier was very kind and gave my girlfriend and I one free rental.
We went with the 1 speed cruiser. It does what it needed to get done for a relaxing ride around Stanley park. 2 hours will be about the time for a full circle around the park and that’s including picture times!

Great service and very professional! They get you in and out in no time!
This was a memorable experience – highly recommend this bike ride if someone is looking for something to do in this area! It was about $ 15 per person to go around Stanley Park. We stopped a few times for photo opportunities, but rode around the perimeter of the park the majority of our time. This route took about 1.5 hours.
The bike of our choice was «City Cross,» which was sufficient. No need more a more powerful bike. Personally, I think this is more enjoyable for older kids and not younger children (under 8 years old). It can be dangerous at time when there are a lot of bicyclists and you have to speed up or let bicyclists pass you by.
Generally, flat surface and an easy ride. I wouldn’t mind doing this again.
Note/​Tips: I know there are a few hotels, including ours, which have complimentary bikes for their guests. Unless your hotel is right by Stanley Park, I felt it was unsafe to ride from my hotel to Stanley Park, esp since I am not familiar with the area.

Very good customer service and worth the extra few bucks you will pay at the cheaper shops up and down the street. I paid ~$ 26 Canadian for 3 hours of biking though I could have gone longer for the same price. Bike was a comfort 3-​speed, I think. The lock was bad-​a$$ but the Helmet had a worn strap that came apart once it was snapped under my big fat head.

We went on New Year’s Day and the other bike shops in the area were closed but these guys were open.
For $ 24 CAD we got two cruisers for 2 hours and rode around Stanley Park. It’s a great way to efficiently explore the park, we hopped off many times to take in the different views and take pictures etc.
The bikes were solid, we didn’t have any issues at all and the helmets were included in the rental.
Service was very prompt. As soon as we walked in, we were taken outside by one of their staffers and found bikes and helmets that would fit for us. Just like that we were off and biking thru the marina into the park.

The service was fast and very efficient, the bikes we rented were in good condition and the staff was very nice. They offer a good choice of bikes, including those very awkward tandem ones. We used some discount vouchers that we got at the tourist info office.
The only «but» is that this place is a lot more expensive than others on the same street. It’s the first one you’ll see on that street, and it uses its privileged location, as well as the voucher system, to attract unsuspecting tourists like me and charge almost twice more than other bike rental shops we passed by.

Such a straightforward, pleasant and affordable experience dealing with this shop. They have the rental process down to a relative science, which helps a lot given the tours and crazy crowds they get in the summer.
I had a reservation and an entire assembly line of individuals had me helmeted, biked and out the door within 2 – 3 minutes. And that was with a couple dozen other customers inside, as well as a brief tutorial on using the fold-​up bike lock (which I had never seen before). I rode around town all day, came back in the afternoon and the whole thing cost less than $ 30.
The bikes are high quality, in great working order, and easy to carry around plus utilize. I wish their fold-​up locks were more universal among cyclists, because they are easy to pack and stronger than cable locks.
There are half a dozen other bike rental shops on Denman, but this is the one place I’d direct people to go if they’re looking to rent bikes for the day. Their selection, price and customer service combination is unmatched.

Located just outside of Stanley Park with easy access to the Seawall path and all of the other trails there, Spokes bicycle rental service is a great way to begin your visit. Reasonable rates and helpful staff, too!
The Stanley Park Seawall path runs all the way around the park on the waterfront, making an approximately 6 mile (9.5 km) loop with beautiful views every step of the way. There are actually two paved perimeter paths along the seawall: an inner one for foot traffic only and an outer one for non-​motorized wheeled transportation. There are also several kilometers of shared-​use gravel paths through the hilly woods inside the park, making for more challenging riding. Of course, one could choose to rent a bike to ride the city streets too I suppose, but ‘m sure most of their customers head straight for the park– and that’s exactly what we did!
Rental rates are about $ 7-​$ 15/​hr depending on the type of bike; they carry everything from single-​speed cruisers to mountain bikes. Half and full day rates are available as well. Each rental includes a helmet and a bike lock. So glad that we decided to stop here and rent bicycles for the afternoon– it was so much fun!
