Since 2003 we have been providing quality dog boarding, daycare and group walking services to Vancouver’s dogs. We have an amazing team of experienced dog handlers who are all absolute dog lovers and truly wonderful people.

In 2012 we opened up our in-​home, free-​range dog boarding facility on our 1 acre property in Squamish. For your convenience we offer a shuttle service to/​from Squamish/​Vancouver for our Lower Mainland clients or you can make the beautiful 45 min. drive to Squamish if you prefer to drop your dog off directly. Our boarding guests get to enjoy the sand pit, paddling pools, play equipment and plenty of toys. We have comfy couches and beds to sleep on and each dog goes for daily hikes dependent on their physical ability. The dogs get to be dogs which means they sometimes get a little dirty so we also offer bathing services if you’d like your dog returned home clean and shiny after their stay. Our 3,600 s.f. doggie daycare in Vancouver is kept spotless and we use thick rubber flooring to protect your dog’s joints. We do not over crowd our daycare and we separate dogs into small play groups so that all the dogs get to enjoy themselves in a safe, fully monitored environment.

Our group walking services include free pick up/​drop off from your home and are a great way to break up your dog’s day and give them a fun romp so they can run, play, swim, chase, sniff, dig and enjoy being a dog!

History

Established in 2003.

Erik and Tracy started Ruff Stuff in 2003. We started out offering group 2 hour dog walks and hikes for Vancouver’s dogs and took them to places such as the North Shore mountains and Pacific Spirit Park in Vancovuer. Over the years we’ve added some wonderful handlers to our team to help us service our ever growing client base. Two members of our team have been with us since 2008 and three members left for a little while and are now back with Ruff Stuff because they missed the dogs so much!

We started offering in-​home boarding services in 2006. The dog boarding we offer has become so popular we decided to open up a larger facility in Squamish, B.C. in 2012 while continuing our very popular dog walking services in Vancouver. In 2013 we opened a large doggie daycare on the east side of Vancouver where we also sell Acana, Orijen and Go! brands of dog food and various treats and accessories.

Dogs have been a long-​time passion for both Tracy & Erik; therefore, in 2003, Ruff Stuff Dog Services was born in order to provide the ultimate dog care services in Vancouver and Squamish which includes dog walking, dog boarding, dog daycare as well as a foster home for dogs in need of a loving forever home.

We have 4 dogs of our own, all rescues, and love nothing more than being out and about enjoying nature with a group of happy wagging tails!

We are fully licensed, insured and bonded and are trained in K9 first aid. We regularly attend training seminars with professional trainers such as Ian Dunbar, Brenda Aloff, Nicole Wilde and Patricia McConnell. Our first-​aid training has been obtained via Dog Safe and Walks n Wags.
