Food-court quality pizza. Many veggie-friendly options that sound better than they actually are, largely due to the low quality cheese they use. Cheap and convenient spot for grabbing a slice, especially if you’ve been drinking in the area, but not a place I’d recommend under other circumstances. The artichoke slice is okay, but the«chef specialty»(a take on a supreme with chorizo?) was on par with a store-brand frozen pie.

I picked up an XL-Canadiano. Good American style pizza, no complaints.

I went to this place based on the ratings, but the pizza was very underwhelming.

Not fresh, thin on toppings, crust is dry and hard.

I don’t mind spending more than $ 2 a slice if it’s good pizza made with decent ingredients. It’s normally out of my way but the few times I have been in the area I have been pleased with their vegetarian and all cheese selections. They have more room inside to actually sit and chill. The crust was cooked very well. Customer service was friendly.

My go to place for after the clubs! It’s either here or fritz(or both)! Busiest time is 3am and chances of running into random friends is about 99.99% :p

Walking around the south Granville area last night looking for a quick and easy feeding spot for my 16 yr old son, I stumbled upon this little shop. It was good for the most part, but it comes with an intriguing pricing story just begging to be told: We walked in and requested 2 slices of pizza @ 1.99 each. After a moment, I rethought my decision and requested a whole small cheese pie instead. The woman at the counter then tells me that it’s 21.95. Shocked at the price, we started to leave. The woman stopped me and then offered to give me the pizza for $ 16.00($ 2.00 per slice x 8 slices) … What, really??? 16.00 for a small cheese pizza??? I declined and turned to leave again. She then said that I could have it for 9.95 + tax. Hmmmmm. .. interesting. .. We were cold and hungry, so we took it. Bottom line: The pizza was ok, but not exceptional. The shop was small, but clean. The service was obviously sketchy.

So i cant speak to the quality or of how the pizza tastes but i can leave my story of the quality of service. Last night they took over 2 hours to deliver the pizza i ordered so I finally cancelled out of frustration! At 1850 I ordered a extra large Mediterranean style spinach pizza. I was looking forward to it. They said 45 min. At 1845 I called to inquire if it would arrive soon. The girl on the phone said she would contact the driver. About 5 min later the driver called me to apologize. He told me the store gave him the wrong phone number. He was so apologetic I accepted and thought ok stuff happens. Then he told me that unfortunately my pizza wasnt coming at all?! This is because now theres was no one to deliver it to my area. To my area? I live on Davie St i tell him. He says because another driver has been assigned to your delivery area and he had an emergency and isnt available. OK so no pizza for me:(Lots more apologizes and Im now planning my dinner elsewhere. I get off the phone and the pizza place calls me shortly thereafter. The girl says so i talked to the driver and he wrote your phone number down wrong. We are sending your pizza in 10min! I say it wont be all cold and dried up will it? No we are making a new one! Yay pizza is back on!!! 20 min later I get a call from a different driver who says so Im outside of your place. I think to myself ok why are you calling me, ring the buzzer because Im HUNGRY! He gives me an address at Hamilton and Davie. Thats not my address… No i tell him Im the other way on Davie towards English Bay, at Davie and NIcola. To make a longer story short, Another 20mins go by and still no pizza guy. I call the pizza place and tell them to cancel my order Im done, hungry and going out! 5 mins later my door bell goes off. Sorry over it! I want to add that the three people I spoke to all had thick, non Canadian accents. I was asked several times to repeat myself which is not the problem/issue. The problem is clear to me, the information just wasnt getting processed and delivered properly.

My Italian isn’t too great but does Numero Uno mean once and never again? The varied selection of pizzas hardly makes up for the room-temperature food. The lack of seating indicates the in-and-out nature of the joint. Since it’s right by the Granville Strip, hopefully its night patrons won’t notice the dive in quality in the past few years.

Numero Uno is a lie. It means number one. Number one should be earning 5 stars. This number one earns two.(when I am being generous) So they poshed up the joint about a year ago. Maybe they needed to raise the price to $ 2.50 to make up for the face lift. But come on Numero Uno don’t change the pizza to a piece of number two(bad pun intended) so you can appear to be number one. Numero Uno used to be good when it was a craphole in the wall. Now that it’s all«classy like» it’s a Numero poo with two stars.(cos I’m being generous) Cardboard luke warm slice last night. terrible g

Stopping is a must when traveling from Granville further west. The foot traffic is so high late at night that there is always a fresh slice to be had. If you haven’t tried it sink your teeth into a slick of beef and blue cheese and let your drool flow. For a quick snack this is easy 5 stars.

This location got a refurbishment and is no longer the craphole in the wall it once was. However: The pizza was MUCHMUCH better in the old days. Situation now: The slice is up to 2.50 $, the pizza is barely warm when you get it. All in all pretty much a disappointment. There are way better pizza joints in this town, however none of them is really close. If you want a slice on the go to prevent your next day hangover after going to one of the clubs(or what Vancouver THINKS is a club) then a pizza from this outlet will do the job. Just don’t expect any culinary delights. Sober… probably avoid it altogether. Cheers –s

This is the best pizza value for your money downtown, in our opinion. Pretty straightforward simple pizza, but good. Great for a slice late at night, or a full pizza for takeout. Love the sesame seeds on the crust. Only gripe is that it can be difficult to order over the phone. They used to take cash only, but now they take credit and debit cards.

Great pizza and must if youre drunk in downtown or have the muncheez at home. :) I’ve eaten here over 30 times and i always get their beef blue cheese pizza and pepperoni and they are all great. my fav is the beef blue cheese, especially since beef pizza sucks at most other places that i have tried, its truly special. i cant imagine trying any other place for late night pizza and maybe thats a bad thing since there are other options that im probably missing out on. oh well.

Located in the late-night cheap eats area on Davie with the Blendz, Fritz and Chinese window across the street, Numero Uno is packed late-night on weekends. I used to love this place in my early twenties(until I tried it in the day…). Go for the«blue cheese!» A little salty sometimes, but it’s the best.

Good late night pit stop! $ 2 slice of pizza! Try the blue cheese pizza — it’s yummy and had a good crust.

Always fresh pizza, always plenty of variety. And still $ 2(the Megabite on Davie is charging $ 2.25 now! And I thought we were in a period of low inflation…). They just renovated, so there’s even more room inside the shop — I imagine there will be more chairs, but they haven’t installed them yet. Better tasting, better variety and better crust than most of the other pizza-by-the-slice places in the near vicinity.

I have different standards and expectations for pizza, that is, there is good pizza and then there is cheap pizza. I think that Numero Uno(at the Davie location only!) falls into the rare category of pretty good yet cheap. The key to getting a delicious slice is to pick one of their most popular flavours to ensure maximum freshness — beef and blue cheese, hawaiian and spicy chicken to name a few. My personal fav is a sundried tomato and chicken creation that one particular girl who works on the weekends makes. I think this place should receive passing marks from both the sober and the intoxicated.

Truly a beautiful bit of buck-a-slice. Crust that’s airy without being too doughy, generous and quality toppings, and served fresh from the windowside display case, this is good pizza, drunk or no. The husband was particularly enamoured of his slice topped with whole roasted mushrooms. Definitely the best slice within stumbling distance.

Several locations, but I usually go to the one on Davie, corner of Howe St. This looks like a regular pizza shop, with delivery. But at $ 2 the pizza slice, sesame seeds on the crust, and actually seeing them making the pizza, you understand the good deal. Far much better than the commercial franchises, if you need a quick bite for lunch, I highly recommend Pizza Uno. My favorite is the ground beef pizza, but the pepperoni and the Hawaiian are equally good.
