I came here one time late at night and ordered a large pizza. but they gave me a stale pizza that tasted like cardboard. It must have been sitting there all night. Although I do come here all the time and they are usually good.

Extremely cheap, therefore it’s ok for the price. Some decent variety. But the pizza is pretty unhealthy, has a sheen of butter across all crust surfaces. The server I had was pretty shitty, English as second language who seemed to blame me for misunderstandings. 2 ½ stars rounded down to 2 because I just can’t justify 3.

Decided to walk in on a whim. Good service. Ordered the butter chicken pizza. It was surprisingly pretty good.

Wish my wifi was working !! Cuz I would have looked this place up and saw the negative reviews !! Omg! How can you f@&k up pizza? Well this place certAinly did !! Maybe they stay in business, by being the only place open late? As you are walking from the bars, idk but save your self the gag reflex and heartburn & maybe go to the 7 – 11 and buy yourself a bag of chips to get rid of your bar buzz and hold you over till morning !!

Best value for pizza in Vancouver! Usually it is 1.75 a slice, although on every Tuesdays it’s only 1.25 for a slice so I like taking advantage for that for a quick bite. The customer service is always great, always friendly and attentive. I like how the pizza is not super greasy. They also have options for the gluten sensitive people too. For the price I paid, it has exceeded my expectations! Decent pizza for dirt cheap price. Just don’t expect anything gourmet!

Good value pizza but extra star for its outdoor patio, covered too. Plus it’s near the clubs too so good to get a quick bite. Lots of action here.

The saddest excuse for pizza I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried a lot.

As many others have said, you get what you pay for. However, I’ve never had a bad experience at this location and my ‘zza has always been tasty and seemingly fresh. The attendants working at the shop have always been friendly, polite and patient. Cheap and quick, no complaints here!

Cheap pizza for those post-bar excursions while downtown. For better or worse, you get exactly what you pay for…

I’m eating a Super Veggie Feast right now. It’s kind of underwhelming. The crust isn’t very crispy even though it just came out of the oven, and the flavour is kind of bland(lots of toppings though). The guy at the place was pretty nice, and I saved $ 10 using a coupon(the only real reason I tried it), but I don’t think I’ll get pizza from here again. Plus the previous reviews about the pizza’s under the heat lamps are true, they do look pretty stale and old. PS: Ah man… The pizza was sitting on my counter for about 20 minutes and liquid soaked through the bottom of the box. Lame.

Ok so if you go in here expecting NY style finest slice you are in the wrong place. If you go in here wanting something greasy and fatty that you can buy with you last bit of change to stave off that drunken hunger as you stumble home walking in zig zags, then you are in luck. For the price you can’t complain and the service was quick and surprisingly friendly. I find it funny that servers with the chance to earn big tips are less friendly than my cheery pizza guy.

Ahhh… Freshslice: a staple of «Vancouver style» pizza by the slice shops that garners points for convenience, value, and successful growth through local franchising, but loses major points for taste and a horrible crust. Typical of other«Vancouver style» pizzerias, Freshslice has a flat, doughy, soft crust that seems to soak up a lot of oil from the toppings. It is marginally better than Megabite, but doesn’t even begin to compare to Uncle Fatih’s in the arena of cheap paper plate pizza by the slice joints in Vancouver. Freshslice is a dear reminder for our hero of his days as a poor university student(when they actually sold 99 cent cheese pizza slices), and it’s probably one local pizza franchise you should pass on. However, when he’s seeking a pre-drinking bite to eat on Davie Street, our hero just can’t resist this nostalgic Freshslice location. PROS: — $ 1.52 + taxes for any slice makes for a pretty cheap meal. — Decent selection of slices at any given time such as pepperoni, garlic chicken, pesto, meat lover’s, and veggie. — Lots of outdoor seating at this location. CONS: — These slices don’t have a lot of turnover at this location and often sit under the heat lamps for quite some time. Even after reheating, it still feels only lukewarm. — Quality isn’t exactly a big part of the pizza. It’s nicknamed«ghetto slice» for a reason.

You get what you pay for. The pizza itself is pretty blah, but prices are low and as far as I’m concerned, any pizza is better than no pizza. If you’re hungry and poor, Fresh Slice is a great thing. Otherwise, it’s probably better to go somewhere else.

Well, this chain is one of the pizza places that I normally go when I have craving for pizza(which happen on regular basis). This was my second time(and I swear, the last time) to have a slice pizza at night. The pizza itself tasted pretty good, except it was not fresh at all… which I found ironic. The crust of the pizza was so dry that I couldn’t bit into. The cheese on top was exposed to the heat lamp for so long that it tasted like cheese-crisps. The workers must have forgotten to «rotate» the old pizza… but, twice in the roll now. I think I will be looking for a fresher place to have my night pizza.

I first stumbled across Fresh Slice one night when my husbot was out of town, I just grabbed a slice of their by the slice pizza, plain cheese. I snapped into attention when I realised that they had a proper garlic white sauce under the cheese blend. I have since ordered at home a few times, they have a discounted price for pick up orders. I’ve also placed group orders on multiple occasions for work and have received much larger volume discounts than any of the major chains can even offer(AND they have always showed up on time). The white/garlic sauce is really the winner for me(please tell me where else I can get this on vegetarian pies in Vancouver). Toppings generally tend to be good quality(watch out for saucy tomatoes or pineapple). The price-point is certainly there. The only issue with this local pizza chain, is that the crust is always soft where you would want it crispy; I blame this on their claim to be «low carb» — I think the«carbs» they are reducing are the same parts that make the dough delicious and crispy elsewhere.
