I had eaten here before the renovations last year and thought the food was quite good and I would take out their wraps and dumplings to add to our family dinner tonight. When we came in and said we wanted to order take out, the waiter said it was busy and the order may take longer. I asked how long it would take and he went and asked the cook(Mary I think), and I was told 20 minutes. We said that was fine and would be back in 20 minutes. We came back in 25 minutes and waited on the bar stool. After 20 minutes, I was getting impatient and asked how much longer and he said very soon. The order of 2 wraps and one dumplings finally arrived a full hour after we ordered it. Yes, there were customers eating in that ordered ahead of us, but several had their laptops and appeared to be in no hurry. We were not offered a discount, or a drink or anything as compensation as the order was so late that my family had eaten other food already. Sadly, the food was much poorer in quality than before. The beef wraps had much less filling and missing a Chinese green from last time. The broth for the dumplings tasted like water. Definitely not worth waiting an hour for. Very poor business practice to lie that food would be 20 minutes just to get our business and not try to sqeeze our order in ahead of any of the leisurely dine in customers. The bill was $ 36 including a $ 6 beer we ordered as the food took so long which was not worth the wait. The owner did verbally say«sorry» but offered no goodwill. We will not be back.

Small, family-owned, and INCREDIBLE food. I go here each time I’m in the neighbourhood. Fresh homemade noodles and family recipes. Great place for a quick and good quality bite to eat. Vegan/vegetarian friendly menu.

Excellent. Family run Hunan style Chinese food. The family is clearly proud of their home town cuisine and is delighted to share it with the world. No pretensions here — just good noodles and good service.

* Closed and reopened and… * Mi Mary’s Trattoria( ) closed, and has now re-opened as Mi Mary’s Noodle and Liquor Bar. They changed their signage, got rid of all the non-Chinese stuff from the menu, and have focused primarily on the various types of noodles they make in-house. First impression: disposable plastic table cloths that you can take off the top layer, paper cups for water, food served at a table but on a cafeteria tray! Um… Ok. Got the menu from the VERY friendly waitress who then sat down next to me as I was ordering. I ordered the seafood, mushroom, and vegetable latiao($ 12.95 for a small size). It took a long while for them to be prepared as they were making it all pretty much from scratch back in the kitchen. The dish looked like it had a lot of different things in it on first glance.(Photo: ) There were several shrimp that were nicely prepared, a single piece of white fish that had a bit of an iodine taste but otherwise was fresh, fresh spinach, tomatoes, green onions, and a ton of celery. The sauce was a mixture of chili, black bean, cilantro, and a TON of garlic. The garlic was undercooked so it tasted pretty much like munching on a clove of raw garlic. Overall the sauce was really not particularly well balanced. The noodles were the biggest letdown though. They were prepared fresh, but not well. Some were overly thick and still had almost raw flour inside of them, while others were fairly thin and slightly overcooked. These were not good noodles by any stretch of the imagination unfortunately. Overall since they have relaunched as a noodle bar I do feel they should be doing a much better job on their noodles. Kudos for the friendly service, but the sauce and noodles are not good enough to make me return anytime soon even if the service is friendly.
