The lads who runs this place is very rude. I have kept coming back to this place because of the ease of parking on the street nearby but this today is definitely the last time. Plenty other Starbucks and coffee shops nearby to choose from.

This is my go-to neighbourhood Starbucks since I live pretty close by. They have a decent sized store with lots of seating available, including a nice patio that’s great to chill on during the summer! Baristas here are always friendly, even when it gets busy. I love coming here to have a quick coffee catch-up with friends, read, or just to get some work done on my laptop. Convenient street parking & a handful more parking spots in the alley behind the store.

Came by for some coffee. Parking is available behind the building, as well as on Macdonald. This location has some unique features. There is bar seating right by the front counter, though there are no power outlets. The star of the show though is the nice large outdoor patio, which is shielded from the intersection by a row of hedges. The ice coffee I had hit the spot.

I had not visited a Starbucks in a long time and I had not known that the tea menu had changed. So when I came into this starbucks I was hoping that the staff would have at least some decent knowledge of the tea menu or at least some list of teas that I could look at. They had neither. I waited until there was no line up to inquire about their teas and the barista who helped me knew next to nothing about their teas. After seeing that I was not convinced by her apt description of «this tea tastes pretty good,» she tried looking for a tea list but apparently there was no list that I could look at. So I was forced to choose a tea that the barista recommended because I dont think she knew about any other teas. It saddens me that tea drinkers arent given the same service as those who order coffee and maybe next time I wont have to be forced to drink Emperor’s Cloud and Mist Brewed Tea because for some reason it has a nice matcha taste according to the barista(It actually does not have anything resembling that). If you like tea try another starbucks.

This is a slightly odd yet logical location for a SB, oddly shaped but enough seating. had tea. Good customer service, line up was long but paced well.

Nice relaxing atmosphere with helpful staff. Bike rack, outside seating and car parking. And a wicked doppio espresso. Nice clean surroundings and wash rooms. Lots of greenery outside to match.

Small corner location in a posh neighborhood, kitty corner to Remax. I only like staying in if I can get the only leather sofa seating right inside the corner. Also have bar seating too. Free parking at the alley.

I come here all the time and the service is very friendly and quick. I feel like a lot of people who come to this location use it as an office so it is at times hard to find seating. Overall a nice experience, seems like there’s a lot of regulars that go there.

Nice place, but the problem with this Starbucks on Macdonald St is seating — they need more if it. I totally get that cafés in the West End and down in the heart of Kits will be very cramped, but they really could make a better use of the space here I think. But.the coffee is good, and the staff that were here at 2:30 on a Friday afternoon were very cheerful and efficient. You can tell that this is a regular watering hole for many locals. And it’s got its fair share of what you usually find at Starbucks: people being interviewed for jobs, realtors meeting clients, and a few long-winded storytellers… There’s parking at the back of the building that Starbucks shares with a few other businesses in the same corner(couple medical offices, etc). But there’s only about 8 or 9 spots, so during busy times, you’ll probably have to find street parking near by(good luck).

I shouldn’t tell you this, but the am team – before 8 am, that is – truly is the best. Recently, it’s had smaller lines and I love it. The male barista with the dark rimmed glasses is awesome and I told him so. So now, he’s even faster than before. I think that he’s trained his female team to be equally as awesome. They offer extra foam, extra sauce, and when I accidentally grabbed a rotten yoghurt, they replaced it for me. They could have said no, but they didn’t. It’s SB after all! They are all so nice and smiley, and well, I hope that no one reads this so that I can return. I also hope that I haven’t jinxed this SB, because, boy, have they come a long way.

Isn’t writing a Starbucks review akin to writing a McDonalds review? At this point there aren’t too many people who haven’t experienced the formulaic trappings of either establishment. But this Starbucks is different — it is my private office. If i need a place to meet someone to give the concert tickets I couldn’t use and sold on Craigslist, this is the place. I meet vendors here. I even wrote the offer on our house here. There is almost always available seating, both indoor and outdoor, the staff is pleasant, it is clean and it seems that everyone knows of this location so when I mention to meet at this Starbucks I do not have to spend 5 minutes giving directions. And oh ya, they serve coffee here, which is why I only drink the Tazo tea. Their coffee isn’t my cup of tea so to speak, but I need to drink something they sell when I conduct my business!

I say this in the most loving way: ordering at a Starbucks can become a 5 minute ordeal when with one or more Asian parents. Especially when my mother could not decide between a cinnamon twist or a Nanaimo bar(why don’t we have these in the States?) so after 3 minutes and 46 seconds of pondering, she decided to get both. Luckily, the baristas were patient enough. They even let me take my time shaking out my wallet and counting the unfamiliar coins! The awkward thing about this Starbucks is that there is not a whole lot of space between the ordering counter and the door, so on a cold day, it would suck if you have to wait outside the door for that Asian parent to order.

This is my favorite ‘bucks in the city. Sure it helps that it’s a block from home, but more importantly the staff are super friendly and the shop is clean and bright. It could stand an extra electrical outlet or three, but what Starbucks couldn’t?
