Karma yoga clothes are very low quality. The pants lose their shape and start balling up after a few washes. They make you look 10 pounds heavier after a few washes. Don’t waste your money on these clothes. Very poor quality.

Watch out lululemon — Karma is the new greatest brand out there. Karma changed their entire look, design, branding etc this past February and the line is totally fashion forward and mind blowing. The fabrics and quality are top notch and the clothing looks and feels amazing! Kudos to Karma! You are my new favorite athletic brand!

I went to visit this place and it is closed. I went to the alleged new location(on Homer in Yaletown neighborhood) and it is in a secure building that I could not figure out how to get to… maybe it is actually their corporate office, no signage whatsoever, I don’t know but for warned is fair-warned.

It’s Kitsilano, so yogawear is as common as espresso in Italy, really… Holding it’s own in a very competitive yoga market and with Lululemon across the street, I like Karma because of the fit and colour selection. It’s not that I like it more or less than LL, but it’s nice to have a variety or different cuts, styles and fits. I bought a gorgeous two-piece lavender bra tank and mathcing little shorts for hot yoga. The pants have a great side cinch that you can tie-up in a bow and it shows off a bit more of the thighs. The bra has a great v-neck fit and a fun cross-strap back.

Karma holds a great warehouse sale west of Blenheim on 4th once per year. Twenty to 30 dollars can buy you a whole outfit. Pants, shorts, tank tops, sports bras, zip ups: it’s all to be had at a great low cost. The colors are generally a little more diverse than what I’ve found at lululemon. I’m not partial to either, rather will go with what strikes me and fits me. There’s no need to call any store that is not lulu and produces yoga wear a heresy. All the items I’ve bought from karma have washed well, resisted pilling, and are designed well for yoga practice. No complaints on that. Plus the staff at this West Fourth location are always friendly and welcoming.

There are plenty of yoga apparel stores to choose from on 4th Avenue, and Karma is a nice option. Some might say it’s a bit of a lulu knock off, but there’s nothing wrong with that, so long as the product is good, and it is here. The clothes tend towards being a bit less stylized than lululemon’s, but they come in lots of nice colours and they fit well. I agree that the prices, are quite reasonable, so if you don’t mind giving up being branded by the competition, you’ll be happy to find some good karma instead.

Some days it seems Lululemon and TNA blanket our lovely city of Vancouver with an almost communistic uniformity. But this is still a democracy, and you do have another choice for yoga wear! Try Karma, for example. The colour palette is more muted, and the style details make the clothes more wearable outside the yoga studio, which is the point. It’s also a whole lot cheaper, which will allow you to save money for all those costly yoga classes!
