Framing & Art Centre

This review is for the Framing and Art Centre in COQUITLAM, BC. It is located in Coquitlam Centre at 1210 – 2929 Barnet Hwy.
Stay away from this place, the owner is less than honest.
I bought a print there as a Christmas gift for someone and before purchasing I asked about their refund policy. The owner told me the purchase would be fully refundable, if the gift was unsuitable just bring it back with the receipt.
Well, the person I gave this to didn’t care for it and he brought it back. The first time the owner was hmmming and hawing and tried to convince him to pick something else out of the catalogue. He looked through the catalogue and did not see anything he liked.
He asked for a refund. He was told there was only $ 40 in the till-​the print was 117.
Who doesn’t have money in the till?!
Then he gives him some song and dance about coming back with the person who made the purchase so he could refund it on my debit card.
Well we did that, then he gives a lame excuse that his debit machine would not permit him do that. He said he would send a cheque in the mail. Yeah right!!!
So he said come back tonight & I’ll have a cheque waiting. Who gets paid by cheque?
This way, potentially, I would be out the print and the money? I just did not trust this guy anymore-​his behaviour was not honest and rather shifty. I just did not want to deal with his garbage anymore and did not return. I gave the person I bought the print for the money and kept the print myself. I was never called to let me know that there was a cheque waiting for me. The owner is so dishonest, I would never go back again EVER, and I would never recommend his business to anyone. I am also considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the owner of Framing and Art Centre in Coquitlam centre.

Don’t waste your time at this store! Terrible service from the owner :(
