Anthony at Carter Honda is a fantastic service advisor — he’s great at listening, talking about options and answering all of my questions. I’ve just had what I’m calling a «bad car karma» month where a few parts wore out in quick succession and near the end I was ready to call it a day on my (older) car. Through the whole process, Anthony was great at explaining everything and making sure all of my questions were answered. He went above and beyond to provide me with information and regular updates throughout each of my many recent visits. Without a doubt, I trust Anthony and really appreciate his honestness and consistently great support and communication.

The staff at Carter Honda was very accommodating and friendly. My oil change occurred in a timely manner and it was very convenient to be able to walk to Granville Island and enjoy the beautiful outdoor areas as well as grab a few grocery items while waiting for my car to be ready. The guys even gave me coupon for a free car wash next door!

I have been using Carter Honda to service my van for 10 years +. I always get excellent customer service from Bill Glavas and the van is in and out when it best fits my schedule. It is always clean inside and out after each service which is much appreciated with our big family!

Huge thanks to James and the rest of the service team for the amazing and friendly service. I even left with a complimentary Honda backpack filled with emergency roadside items! Honda really is the best auto company going and this location with all the motorcycles, scooter and gear near Granville Island is definitely worth checking out!!!

I’ve been going to Carter for the past 3 years for most of my servicing, so that’s at least once a year. Every time, they have been, without exception, extremely professional and outstanding with their service and really friendly without pressure. The one time I tried to go elsewhere I totally got screwed around and ended up just going back to these guys because of their stress free service. They have always been very honest about whether I really needed a repair or a part (even patching up a part rather than ordering in a brand new one this one time, saving me hundreds), which I really appreciate!

Had my driver-​side mirror damaged and the mirror-​glass smashed by a hit-​and-​run a few years ago. I came in to Carter Honda to order the mirror glass, and after a week or two the part had arrived.
The employee in parts who I dealt with told me that the service department would probably help me install it on the spot at no charge, and that it should be quick and easy. I went over to the service department and explained the situation, but they insisted it would take at least half an hour and that they would have to charge for this. I was already out the cost of the mirror ~$ 30 and knew that the glass would just have to be snapped into place. Half an hour? $ 40 or $ 50? No thanks.
I drove away disappointed and vowed not to come back. I made several attempts to install the mirror on my own without success. Subsequently I took the part to Crown Glass on Broadway (see other review) and the manager snapped it into place within a few minutes for free.
I’m all for dealerships making money. They have to stay in business, but I hate to be messed around.
Two stars, because the parts employee was friendly over the phone and got the part in in a reasonable time.

I will never go there again. Beware of them installing parts that are not needed. This is what they did with my 6 month old spark plugs. When I showed them the invoice from the mechanic that had installed them they quickly refunded me and then took out their plugs (3x the cost of what I paid for the perfectly good ones they took out). They did the switch badly. I had to go back to my trustworthy local mechanic for him to redo it. I just do not trust Carter Honda’s service dept!

Norm Hoy let me come in late for my 5 pm appointment on a Friday afternoon in the middle of summer — I apologized profusely but he was totally nice to me. This was my first service on the Honda CR-​V I got at Carter Honda so the cost was free, so I can’t speak to their prices.
When they were done with the service they washed my car even though I’m sure they wanted to leave! And Norm was as friendly as can be :)
Air conditioned, and a large TV in the waiting room. No complaints.

I usually don’t go to dealerships for repairs. But I had a recall on my Honda airbag and went to Carter Honda. The service was great. I was able to schedule online and promptly received a reply. I mentioned that my transmission wasn’t switching gears well. The service guy recommended using Honda transmission fluid. So I had them flush it out and put in Honda fluid. Now the transmission seems to be working better, at least on day one. Let’s hope that fixes the problem. Note that the service area is 1502 W. 3^rd, not the Burrard location.
Stacy managed to get the airbag part the next day — from the States, as I have a U.S. car. I was really impressed.
Oh, and they washed my car. It looks great.
2÷10÷2014 — I have downgraded them (from 5 stars to 3 stars) because they didn’t apply my diagnostic charge to the repair the last time I was there. It was also overpriced. I would avoid going to Carter Honda.

I bought a scooter from Carter Honda a few days ago. My salesperson was Bart. Bart was absolutely the best. I’d just come from the Urban Wasp outlet (see my review of that store) and was hoping that I’d find someone willing to talk to me about all the factors in buying a small scooter (49cc’s). Bart was patient, not patronizing and friendly. I bought my first scooter about 30 minutes after I arrived. I’m not familiar with scooters so my friend, a motorcycle driver, did the test drive for me and she felt it would be perfect for me to get around Vancouver. I spent quite a bit of time chatting with the manager as well and he was warm, kind and open — a completely opposite experience than the one at Urban Wasp. I’m confident that I bought the right scooter and that Carter Honda will be there for me in terms of service.
