I have been to this Blenz a few times for the matcha latte when I have had a craving for something, however, what I don’t like about this location is that it is one of the few that doesn’t carry Stevia while some of the others due. I don’t like taking the latte bitter, however, I always come reasonably prepared and carry mom own with me. With that said I often complain about the lack of consistency between the Blenz lately and what they do and don’t carry outside the menu. Snacks were decently stalked.

Just really disappointed in the wifi experience. What a pain and they limit you to two hours on it? Relax with the wifi for god sake! They also couldn’t do the exchange rates either… what a pain. Compared to the others, I’m not impressed with this location.

The good: — Service is fairly good. — Good central location. The bad: — The grumpy short, chubby and balding manager walked up to me and yelled at me for smoking on the road close to the café, and kicked other people’s cigarette buds at me. I wasn’t even smoking close to the door. — They have vermin. In short, The staff is great, but the place is very poorly managed. Just because the place is profitable because of its location, it doesn’t mean that you should let it go.

I went hear for a late night coffee. I got a decaf iced mocha. Yummy. I asked the girl behind the counter«what is the specialty of the house?» But she didn’t understand me so she got manager. The manager proceeded to go and on about the teas. Then they were both surprised when I got decaf iced mocha. The manager asked why did you get the coffee? I said«I wanted decaf.» I think they both understood me to say«what is your special tea?» My wife pointed this out and we both had a good laugh. Even though I feel like a stranger in a strange land, I recommend this place.

The staff isn’t as friendly as the other locations but they make the drinks well! Almond and soy milk substitutes are available for an extra charge.

It’s June in Vancouver, and it’s nearly summer, it’s 80 °F in San Jose, but it’s raining here… yeah, but it’s dry rain. Never mind. Walking around Yaletown gives anyone a thirst… for Belgian chocolate and some cheese cake to go with it. Bundle up and sit outside, dodge rain drops, and enjoy a nice little break. It’s a great place to hang.

This is a really nice coffee shop to get some work done on the laptop. It is comfy, has a lot of power plugs to charge the laptop and yummy drinks. Highly recommend.

Stopped in here one evening and ordered their milk chocolate mocha — the only good thing about my experience at this particular location. Customer service is terrible here in the evenings. Skip this location and go to Blenz on Richards and davie instead!

I ordered a dark chocolate hot chocolate. So delicious and creamy and wonderful! It’s too pricey as a regular thing but I definitely recommend stopping in for a hot chocolate a couple times a year.

Standard good coffee house fair here. Prices in these places continue to amaze and astound me … and not in a good way, hence the 3 stars. On the other hand the chairs are comfy, music isn’t too loud and the atmosphere is conducive to work or study or play on the internet.

I’ve always been a fan of their Royal Tea Latte and their mochas chock full of real chocolatey goodness but I’ve never experienced close to decent service at any Blenz. So I usually go out of my way to avoid one. Until last night. After two frustrated attempts at productivity at Yaletown’s two Starbucks locations, I finally parked my butt where everyone seemed to be, Blenz. The two Asian baristas were b-u-s-y serving a Saturday night crowd. Who knew so many people wanted coffee on a Saturday night? I always assumed Saturdays are tequila nights. They both managed to stay smiley the entire four hours I was there. Believe you me, if I had to clean up coffee spills by teenagers goofing around while serving a lineup, I would have freaked the frack out on those three kids. Probably why I’m not a barista and should stay that way. I got my usual royal tea latte and a rocky road bar, which is insanely good. If you’ve been doing cardio the whole week, then damn you deserve this! Chocolatey, peanut buttery, marshmallowey, ooey gooey goodness! Plenty of strategically located electrical outlets for your devices. One thing I found silly was their two-hour wifi rule, which you can just keep renewing. I get it, they don’t want people loitering on free wifi, but that’s one way to treat people(like suspicious, no-goodoers). Definitely a point for Starbucks on this one. FYI, the Vancouver Police Department seems to hold regular meetings here. I’ve yet to hang at this Blenz without encountering at least some of them looking all serious poring over laptops. For all you ladies, they definitely send the goodlookin’ cops to this part of town. The only disadvantage is police presence got me really nervous so I paid my street parking dues religiously on the hour… which in Yaletown amounted to about $ 22. It sucked, big time. And they probably don’t even care about expired parking. Definitely take transit if you’re coming here to work or study or ogle hot cops.

One of my favourites. A lowered floor for more privacy and a happening place too. And great patio for people watching. An informative TV display showing their specials and other stuff going on in the hood while waiting for your smoothie to be made.

Let me preface this review by stating that I consume alot of caffiene during the day — not saying I drink alot of coffee, but I am an addict when it comes to energy drinks, tea, caffiene pills and drinks or anything else that will give me a quick boost and isn’t immoral or illegal. Blenz has a deal going on right now for Americano’s for $ 1.99 — $ 2.23 with HST — sweet little deal if you ask me. Here I was planning on cutting down my coffee intake to try and save some dough… no need to anymore! Woot Woot! Anyways, the service is pretty solid for a coffee shop and the pricing kills their competitors and probably most important, the location is amazing! Right in the heart of Yaletown and ideal for people-watching.

A busy location, but great place to catch up over coffee. There is indoor and outdoor(heated) seating. Great ambiance, lots of brick and beams. Above average coffee house coffee, they even serve almond milk now too. The pastries were good as well.

I’ve been a barista and am well acquainted with good and bad coffee shops — Blenz is my least favourite, but sometimes I find myself in one because I’m waiting for a friend or it’s the only place that’s open. This location burnt my tongue. The steam jug usually has a thermometer in it for a reason — so use it!

This location also failed my Matcha Banana Smoothie test(see ), but that is all that I have against this location. My other regular items, like Strawberry Tea Latte and Matcha Latte and Hot/Cold Chocolate are good. Nothing especially exciting, though. The seats to the left of the ordering counter are good for studying, and have electric outlets available(or at least they were before the renovation around 2010). Free Wi-Fi.

I’m not a big fan of Blenz, but I’ve never had a bad experience either. Today’s customer service team was really polite and helpful. I don’t much like their coffee but the selection of Teas kind of makes up for that. They don’t have any non gluten snacks at all or anything non dairy or Vegan and most of the treats they do have are all wrapped up in plastic bondage. Other than those negatives and the bathroom not being all that clean, the patio is nice. This waves is In the coolest part of Yaletown I think, so lots of activity to keep you entertained.

I have always found the staff at this location to be very good. I’d consider myself to be a frequent customer, but they seem to apply the same good attitude to people I see in store as they do to me. The drinks are quick, average priced and tasty. I have yet to have a negative impression regarding their food and coffee quality. I usually have a dark mocha(very chocolatey) and a yogurt parfait. Though I like this Blenz, there are certainly options for a higher-end coffee experience in Yaletown. But if you’re coming here, you probably just want a quick coffee, and that’s what they will provide. And in my experience, they do it with good service and good quality.
