Specialties
From the design to the décor to the menu, Tundra was conceived to evoke the image, the texture and the taste of Canada.
Now celebrating 15 delicious years, Tundra remains true to its original concept … Canadian inspired cuisine. Under the tutelage of Toronto native, Kevin Prendergast, our culinary brigade offers a wealth of cooking techniques and styles, thanks to their multicultural and ethnically diverse backgrounds.
Inspired by fresh, locally sourced produce and protein, sustainable seafood and foraged gems from independent purveyors, our team passionately makes each dining experience unique … depending on the season and the ingredients.
The wine list, curated by General Manager and Sommelier Aynsley Lenkorn, is well sourced offering variety in by the glass, on tap, bottle and vintage selections. Canadian craft beer and cocktails that are both classic, yet original are always available.
Tundra is elegant and stylish, yet relaxed and welcoming with warm, excellent service and always an enchanting experience. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city at Richmond and University Avenue, within the contemporary Hilton Toronto hotel.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with well tailored menus for all dining experiences from power breakfasts to pre-theatre prix fixe menus to corporate, casual or formal events.

«If food is the body of good living, wine is its soul.» — Clifton Fadiman, American author, editor, radio & TV personality
And Tundra General Manager, Aynsley Lenkorn, knows a thing or two about wine. At just 22 years old, Aynsley graduated from International Sommelier Guild, the world’s leading, licensed provider of Sommelier education & certification. She is recognized in the industry for her study of wine & constant pursuit of knowledge in the field.
With the 2004 Wine Enthusiast Award for top 10 wine lists in Canada on her resume, Aynsley paved a career path in Toronto as Sommelier for some top restaurants, including Auberge du Pommier, Centro and Soho Met. Now, with her love for Canadian wines, she has set her sites on Canadian cuisine by joining the team at Tundra Restaurant & Bar.
With her passion for food and beverage & quest for current trends, there is no doubt that Aynsley will enhance Tundra Restaurant’s award-winning reputation as one of Toronto’s best places to dine.
