I’ve never been a huge enthusiast of Marshalls, mainly because that one down in Niagara Falls, NY always reminded me of a flea market. Even the one at Heartland(although I’ve only visited it twice) looks like everything has been passed over a few or more times. HOWEVER, this particular store off North Queen is truly a gem. My friends, neighbours and colleagues are all on side with me on this one! It does offer a lot of high end clothing but, similar to Winners per se, it is hit and miss. I’ve purchased a few pairs of casual flats from brands such as Hush Puppies, Coach and Skechers and they were all reasonably priced — Coach I recall about $ 79. I even bought my husband a couple of pairs of Vans on separate occasions. They have a large selection of health and beauty items — I bought a big bottle of Silk Therapy with a small bonus bottle for under $ 20. The real showstopper is the little home section at the back of the store. If you go often, you will find beautiful, one-of-a-kind items. I’ve also picked up some really unique things(reclaimed wood picture frames, wine bottle stoppers, tea towels, etc.) in the clearance section that, trust me, have not been picked over. I think the store just sees so much business that it really is constantly bringing in new items all the time. I should also mention that it doesn’t see huge crowds like the above-mentioned Heartland and it is very civilized in there. Parking is no issue either. Plus, you can go have lunch at Nando’s after!

This location is a bit hidden, just north of Sherway, amidst box stores like Bouclair, Sears Home, Walmart, Sail, Structube, etc. etc., right beside Petsmart. If you are driving along Queensway, you will NOT see it ’cause it’s set soo far back. Even though this particular location had a Runway section, no finds here this time. :(No shoes even caught my eye, which is pretty rare! The ‘Contemporary’ somewhat high-end clothing was located pretty close to the front doors, so it was next to impossible to shop there without catching a cold draft brought on by the constant opening/closing of the doors. Store itself was pretty clean and nicely laid-out, but again, for some reason, I walked out empty-handed. Gourmet food, candles, and furniture sections lacked selection despite size of the store. So I either came on a wrong date or this store needs a new buyer! Tip: This area can be busy if you’re planning to visit during the weekend! Lotsa traffic from neighbouring stores, but this store itself was not that busy.
