Couldn’t agree more with the other bad reviews. This Holt needs a complete makeover. Limited selection and no highly knowledgable sales associates. The shoe dept girls are the most helpful but could use a little more knowledge. Especially when selling $ 1000.00 shoes.

Average customer service I have ever encountered at any department store. Unless I was ready to make a large purchase at that particular cashier, I was apparently unwanted. Thankfully the gents at Hudson’s Bay were eager to help and were handsomely rewarded with a generous sale. This store needs to clean house and re-staff with members who want to help all customers if they actually want to bring their over all sale figures out of the red.

This Holt Renfew is probably the worst. I came in to look at sunglasses and no one helped me to the point where I ended up going to Sunglass Hut. I returned to Holt’s because I found a pair I really enjoyed and there were 3 on display. I want to see if they had any others available. I stood at the counter for what felt like forever. Finally a woman came to assist me but told me to wait 3 minutes while she finished with another customer. She then helped me select the best pair for me and was helpful. The store is small and had mediocre selection and the customer service is lacking. Bloor Street really is the way to go.

The manager at Burberry was so rude to me! I was asking for deals as I was buying a shirt for my fiancé and she told me in response the only deal I can get is the sales associate who was single if I wanted him!!! What the hell is wrong with this store??? I was so embarrassed!!! So disappointed!!! Never going back!

In terms of service the employees at this location nail it. They are always super helpful and very friendly. I drove to this location after having a huge issue at Yorkdale where the sales associate was just looking for a quick commission. Yes, the store does have less product than other locations but for me good service is worth more. I value a good customer experience. All over I would give this store 4-stars.

Incredibly limited selection, even if you include the smaller contemporary store outside of the main one. The handbag section, sorry to say, is a joke. Plenty of Michael Kors and Kate Spade, but if you’re going for an actual high end designer(Saint Laurent, McQueen etc) just go to Yorkdale or Bloor. They have small a small Gucci section and occasionally get other high end bags, usually as returns. The staff aren’t overly friendly and don’t seem knowledgeable. At one point I saw what I could have sworn to be a Saint Laurent mini sac du jour, but it was labelled under Michael Kors. When I asked the associate she insisted it was Kors, even as she handed it to me. VERY clearly marked Saint Laurent. Kind of sad when you know your stuff better than the associate that’s being paid to. I’ve also been stalked by the cosmetics associates as if I’m about to steal something… when I’ve gone to make a purchase, on several occasions they at first seem surprised and then just act snarky. All in all I’ve never had a great experience at this location, I much prefer Bloor.

It’s a good size store but very limited selection in terms of many thing in the store. I went there to check for some winter jackets for guys and didn’t have much variety to choose from. Just keep in the mind the pricing is on the high side and Workers will usually leave you alone, so take that as either a good or bad thing. For me it’s a bad thing for the price I pay them.

Terrible, very limited selection in terms of high-end handbags. The«best» labels they carry are Gucci/Balenciaga. NOLV, Chanel, YSL, or anything else that you’d see at their larger Bloor or even Yorkdale location! Not impressed with their selection in shoes, clothing, accessories either. Although store is small, they have high ceilings which gives you an allusion of more space. Either close or expand this location already. Workers will usually leave you alone, so take that as either a good or bad thing. At least they don’t follow you ’round like a thief. They always seem to dote on the ladies with excessive plastic surgeries!!! :P It’s gonna be another 3yrs ’til Nordstrom opens up and gives this dump some competition!

Service: 5 stars Selection: –2 stars Net rating 3 stars Welcome to Holt Renfew Lite/Mini/Baby. Selection has always been slim, but for some reason they had what I wanted today — a pair of Gucci’s that I’ve been eyeing for quite some time. Its been a while since I bought here since I would always go to the bloor store, but the service was what I expect and usually get from Holt Renfrew. Will be back …

Not so impressive, sherway holt… where’s the other ¾ of your store at? Awful/nonexistent service from staff that were busy twirling their hair. Yes, it would definitely be worth the extra 15 min drive to yorkdale.

So this review is for holt renfrew at sherway gardens. I live close to it so I drop in from time to time and I’m always appalled at how unimpressive this location is. The staff are all terrible(no one says hello and they’re all old and irrelevant, the young ones are there to play and get their discounts because they don’t say hi or help either). The selection here is horrible as well. The merchandize are displayed the way things would be displayed at placed like the sears. This holt needs a serious make over because when I’m spending $$$ on a designer purse or a pair of expensive heels, I don’t want to feel like I’m shopping at a second rate department store with indifferent sales people who can’t be bothered. The make up ladies are pretty bad too– wake up fossils, with places like sephora and the bay, your products are no longer exclusive and the only reason why anyone would buy a piece of item from you over anyone else is because of service. Don’t even get me started on the shoes and the purse sections. All those pretty purses and shoes look so sad sitting there on aged and old ugly display cases without properly being propped and just stacked on top of each other. Seriously, holt can’t send along one of their visual designers/merchandizers down to this sad location to make things look better?

The Holt Renfrew in Yorkdale and Bloor offers more selection in mens.

When I got my first job, I saved and scrimped so I can shop here for the first time. For some reason to a teenager, the reputation and cachet of Holt Renfrew gave me images of luxury and pampered service. I came here and did they measure up to my ideas… absolutely and years later, they continue to do so. This particular Holt Renfrew has a different atmosphere than the one found on Bloor and Yorkdale. Though it is quite smaller and they do not carry as high end brands like Louis Vuitton or Tom Ford, the warmer service makes up the difference. As mentioned, this is a smaller store. It’s possibly smaller than the one in Calgary. It’s only one level and most of the floor is dedicated to woman’s ‘every day’ or ‘professional casual’ wear. The most common brands are Theory, Diane Von Furtsenberg, Tory Burch and other similar lines. They do have some nicer lines like Max Mara and evening/cocktail wear but it’s all the lower priced items but they’re still lovely. Service in this area can be outstanding(their evening wear area has possibly the best and warmest Associate I’ve found in Holt Renfrew) to dismal(one woman in the every day wear shows her disdain for anyone not wearing blatant high end labels). Most people here though are much friendlier overall… there’s just the one lemon. There is a mens area and it’s a small but well curated collection of casual professional men’s wear. There are lots of slacks, merino wool and cashmere sweaters, and shirts that are probably best suited for mid 30s professionals. They also have men’s shoes but it registers beyond 2 racks. The front entrance to the mall is filled with cosmetics and leather goods. This is where I first spent my small savings for luxury and I feel the service here is far more welcoming than other Holt Renfrew. The ladies(and the occasional man) smile and welcome you to try their beauty products regardless of what you’re wearing or looking like. Here you can find Shu Uemura, Chanel, Jo Malone, Dior, and La Mer. The only drawback to this store is the lack of good events. Unlike Yorkdale where they have great GWP or fun events to showcase brands or new items, Sherway doesn’t have the same scale or amount of events.
