I really can’t hate. I do realize Friday night is not really a thing in Toronto, but after a sea of bad bars and/​or clubs we went to, my friend finally gave in a let me get us to the Thompson.
It was freezing cold this past Friday (as literally every day has been in the never ending winter of 2013⁄2014) so we only made it to the lobby bar and not to the roof deck. (I assume it was open? No clue though). Lobby bar was pretty dead, but the space was nice and large, with plenty of seating. I liked the vibe because it was an older crowd (I’m not 19 – 21 anymore so I can’t be all up in the club) and ended up meeting some fellow Americans (sorry Canadians! Met some great Torontonians here as well) from LA who were super chill. My cocktail was damn good and the bartenders were friendly and in my opinion good looking too! And the DJ played some old school hip hop which was the perfect soundtrack to end the evening!
