This is my go to lcbo because i work nearby and i live nearby. Some of the staff know me well and i come here VERY often. HOWEVER one day when my friend and i(this friend also works nearby and had come to this LCBO many many times) wanted to buy some wine they wouldnt serve us because my friend didnt have ID. It didnt matter to them that we were regulars and that I had my ID and my friend did not touch any of the alcohol. I was so embarrassed as a regular that i would be turned away. Very upset.

Small location but fairly decent selection. Staff is somewhat friendly. First place I’ve seen offer 750ml of Stella Artois. Extra point for that.

Everyone has their store, and this is mine. Let’s be honest, I probably spend more time here than at any other retail outlet. I switch up where I get my groceries, but thanks to Ontario laws, where I get my wine, vodka and tequeezy is consistent. This, however, is not the best LCBO. Very small, often crowded, no functioning AC(what?) in the summer. You can’t get an SOP here, and they don’t have any bonus late-night hours on the weekend. But hey, they push my drug of choice, so I’m going to go ahead and call them A-OK.

This is a strong contender for worst LCBO in the city. If you go there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening, you will encounter 3 lineups of hipsters that run the full length of the store, effectively blocking most of the aisles and making shopping nearly impossible. The selection is not great either. They have decent enough beers, if only because of all the hipsters. Inevitably, there’s always an alcoholic of some sort, who is already intoxicated and trying to buy a single beer in line. On one occasion, I witnessed the cashier defuse the situation really well, telling him in a really uppity tone to just come back in and hour or two when he had ‘walked it off’. Of course the store would be closed in an hour but he didn’t mention this to the guy and eventually he left without putting up too much of a fight or causing a scene. There’s always a beggar or busker out front, which makes me want to go there even less. I really only buy alcohol here when I run out or need a gift quickly. I also use it as a place to get cash without having to pay an ATM fee since they do cash back. There’s no TD Bank in the neighbourhood so it’s pretty sweet unless you encounter the line, of course. I really wish they would expand this location. With the dollarstore at the corner of Concord and Bloor going out of business, this could be prime location for a new LCBO. I’ve also heard rumours of Wine Rack opening in the area, which could take some of the burden off this place. I like international wines but I would definitely go to WR, over this LCBO.

It’s a little location, but this place is all right. They have the selection you need and the staff on hand to make some suggestions when you’re not sure what to get. Watch out on Friday and Saturday nights after 8, the lines can be a little long. Nov. 30-day challenge 5⁄30

This is a very, very small LCBO, but they have a wonderful staff! I was looking for cachaça(brazilian spirit made of distilled sugarcane juice), and they obviously didn’t have it — and didn’t know about it. But they were interested in knowing more about it, and just found out two stores with different brands of famous brazilian cachaça, and told me how to get there, the reference number of the items so the store staff could find it easily, they did everything. They are awesome!!! I wish this was my LCBO, because I love these guys for being so helpful!
