I’ve been a customer for at least 5 years now and I’ve never been disappointed with my haircut or the service. Just recently, I had my haircut done by David and asked – as usual – no clippers just scissors as much as possible It took 25 minutes and the shop wasn’t busy at the time. The team at the store are diligent about such other things as eyebrows, nose hairs and wispy ear hair – without my asking them. They’re thoroughgoing, know their craft, and apply it professionally. It costs me $ 18 for the cut and I always leave a $ 7 tip. I think I’m the only senior citizen who goes in there and they must remember me for that(or the tip).

We were in a Toronto for World Pride 2014. Took a stroll and saw Ho’s salon, so stopped by for hubby’s hair cut. He looks mighty fine afterward. I definitely approve! Would come back next time when we come back to town.

Had both good and bad cuts here, overall good, but I’ve moved onto a better place now where I feel I get better cuts. I felt I have had cuts by people who did not know what they were doing(which is why I stopped going) I had my eyebrows unexpectedly shaved one time, and felt I looked like some kind of drag queen ith trimmed eyebrows. Part of that is my fault, I should have insisted on going to the guy here who I trusted with my hair, and I let someone else do it and had a negative experience. So, I can recommend that you might be very happy here getting your haircut, so long as you get good people. I cannot recommend it unreservedly however.

I used to spend $ 60+ for a fancy stylist but now I go to here. This is a typical old school barbershop, great haircuts at a fantastic value. Cuts cost less than $ 20. I will wait for Cute to cut my hair. He always remembers what I want. Great cut, fast, great price.

First of all, I am biased toward this joint. I have been going here for last 17 years. Odd times when I do not have time to make it down to this place, I would get a cut from random places, and so far, haven’t found a replacement. Ho(Owner) has always provided great service. Once he cut your hair couple times, he will remember what you like. I don’t even need to tell him anymore, I sit down and he goes to work. There are 4 – 5 other barbers working for him that are decent and my back ups when Ho has gazillion people waiting for him. All in all, you can count on me going here til I got no hair to cut! Reason for the 4 rating, they are never open on time. Business hours clearly state 9am, but too often I am waiting in front of the door til 915 before anyone shows up to open.

I can’t hide the fact that I love a good deal. A year ago I was paying $ 60 for a haircut that I felt was hit or miss. I changed salons and found a guy for $ 30 who was good, but I found myself questioning his sanity. A friend recommended Ho’s Place, specifically Phillip. He’s awesome and I am extremely happy with my ‘do every time, and for just $ 18 that’s a great deal.
