I usually go to clutch St. Barbers and now I know why. Friendly service, cleanly tools and cuts and they don’t charge you $ 7 more because you’re female. Got a cut by Laura, quick simple trim, no wash, no style, no smile. Now, I know $ 25 for a woman’s cut is cheap but I was very dissatisfied with the whole experience. I’m sure for a quick $ 18 men’s cut it’s worth it.

Went in for a men’s haircut during lunch hour. Luckily there was a stylist available right away. He was able to recommend a good style for me and I was very pleased with the results. The cut took all of ten minutes to do and I would definitely go to this stylist again! Note: Cash only!

I went there 2 weeks ago for the first time when my hair stylist wasn’t available. I was greeted promptly when I walked in. The shop had apparently recently been renovated. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I showed Justin a picture of the cut I wanted and he was able to duplicate it exactly for me. I got a wash and a cut for $ 18! Same price as House Of Lords around the corner, but in a much nicer, cleaner, friendlier establishment. I will definitely be going back for my next cut!

Terrible haircut. The guy rushed things and made a mess. Missed spots. Uneven bangs. Uneven line across the back. Cut around one ear was way higher than the other one. Had to go home and fix it myself. No «thank you» when I paid. Churn em and burn em butcher cuts by a supposed«Professional stylist». I see the guy in there all the time so its not like he was new. Ended up shaving my head at home.

$ 18 for a haircut that is close to a Magic Cut/Supercut quality. Popped in today for a cut… 1) sideburns trimmed not levelled. It wasn’t until I got home that I noticed they were a good ½ «off to each other. Great… I was THAT guy walking around Yonge St. today… 2) back of my neck not shaved properly… had to break out my electric trimmer and do it myself I guess you get what you pay for when you spend all of 10 minutes in a «stylist’s» chair.

While looking for a place to get a trim, I was impressed with the reviews on Unilocal as well as high rankings in hyperlocal blogs. The photos and in-person appearance made me skeptical, but I decided to persevere and trust the Internet. Thank goodness I trusted my instincts. This is a high quality, friendly, reasonably priced place. I was served immediately and received a perfect haircut. Needless to say, I’ll go back. Look past the run down exterior and obviously well-used interior. You won’t regret it.

The interior and exterior décor of the shop is authentic and classic in appearance. Upon entering the shop I was greeted immediately by a barber and asked what type of cut I wanted. I guided him to an approximation of what my hair should look like after the cut and also told him to not cut too short as a result of a scar/bald area on the top left area of my scalp. He proceeded promptly with the right use of tools and even showed fine detail with the use of scissors to blend my hair after trimming the back and sides to the right length, and also adhering to my request to thin my hair(as my hair is rather thick). I work in the financial district and have tried Maverick Studios as well as Tony’s Place and both are $ 30-$ 40 for a cut(both are decent quality but at least $ 10-$ 15 more — Maverick provides hot towel shave and hair wash though which is nice if you’re willing to pay that premium). Overall, a quality custom cut for under $ 20(including tip). I would highly recommend to all youth and men looking for a top cut at an affordable price.

Ho’s Team now has a nail salon open next to their hair salon. I took my brother, who spends his days on his feet as a doctor, for a pedicure. We were able to walk-in without an appointment(there was only one other person there) and were greeted warmly and directed into brand new massage chairs(which were heavenly). Everything in the salon was clean, which may have been because the salon is relatively new, but I could tell they take care to clean everything thoroughly. They wash out the foot tubs before and all the and after use and are quick to offer you something to drink. My esthetician didn’t speak english very well, but she was very careful to ensure that I was comfortable at all times. Since it was my brother’s first pedicure he was a little hesitant with the whole experience. They were friendly and encouraging with him and he really enjoyed it as well. My nail colour lasted well over a month before even starting to chip! I really enjoyed my experience here and look forward to going back. Also, the prices are comparable to most respective nail salons downtown, but be warned: they only accept cash.
