Clean, modern rooms with good equipment. The staff was also very friendly. For a small room it was $ 15/30m and $ 30/hr on a Friday night. The other plus was they had a room available on a Friday at the last minute. But, the English songs are only listed in the book by song title, not artist, which is hard sometimes. Also, a few reviewers have praised the English song selection, but I’m going to say it was a bit lacking. There was still lots of stuff, but we definitely couldn’t find a few hits you’d expect to see. The remote and screen menus are in Korean, but it’s fairly simple to figure out or get the staff to walk you through it.

Solid karaōke joint in K-town! I came here in a group of 7 because my usual place, Bar Plus, was full. We decided to try Gorhegorhe based on the reviews from Unilocal! Location: just steps from Christie station and close to lots of late night food options! Be sure to check the address though because it is easy to miss. The sign is small and it’s in a basement below a Korean restaurant and just next to another karaōke bar. Service: part of the reason this place is just A-OK is that I wasn’t wowed by their customer service. I had called and reserved a medium room but when we arrived, they said they only had a large room available($ 50/hour instead of $ 40). It was our first time there and no one in our group can read Korean, but nobody explained to us how the remote control worked. We fiddled around and had to go out and ask a staff member to help us. I also didn’t like having to pay in full at the beginning(Bar Plus lets you pay at the end) and they only take cash. Rooms: we had the«VIP» room at the back, which was quite spacious but not as large as the largest rooms at Bar Plus. I think this room would fit around 10 – 15 people, whereas the ones at Bar Plus can accommodate 20 or even a bit more. The room was really cold! But when we asked if they can turn up the heat, they said the room beside us complained it was too hot. Luckily, it did warm up from having 7 of us in there singing and dancing;) The room itself was pretty minimal with vinyl sofas and a tambourine. They had 2 microphones, one was cordless and the other had a cord. Songs: they had a few binders but they were all by song name(instead of by artist). The English selection is decent, although small compared to their Korean/Chinese/Japanese selection. I like that the next song in the queue shows up on screen and that the machine tells you how many minutes you have left. The machine also gives you a «score» at the end of each song to boost your ego(I’m pretty sure it never goes below 90%). The videos are HILARIOUS. E.g. the video for«O Holy Night» is a bunch of rappers and pimped out cars: P I’d be back if I’m in the area, but my go-to place would still be Bar Plus!

I wouldn’t say the selection of English songs were great. Most of them were too old/obscure. Pros: cheap @ $ 20 an hour and rooms rotate quickly

Fantastic Karaōke lounge on the K-Town Bloor strip. Great selection of English and Korean songs, clean ventilated rooms, the staff is friendly and attentive and the selection of Korean snacks and drinks makes this venue probably the best karaōke bar in town. For me, the secret to a good Karaōke place is how clean it is, how modern the equipment is and how the room actually look — our room had lights and lasers and all sorts of entertaining features which added to the fun of singing along to the latest hits. I’ve been here twice and will be going back again soon(good for me, not so good for those who have to listen to me).

This is a great Karaōke bar. We have been visiting XOXO across the street for many years but decided to give Gorhe Gorhe a try and loved the swtich. The English music selection is very good and even more vast for Korean songs. The rooms are clean and the machines are fairly easy to use(just ask for help to figure them out). They also offer a selection of Korean snacks and treats including dehydrated squid and fish. Also serves alcohol. From what I remember this place is also cheaper than XOXO. Come to sing and stay a while, you will not regret it. Even with my horrible singing voice, the machines made me feel good because all scores are over 90%. Very motivating.
