Adidas Performance Store

For having such a prime spot at the corner of Yonge and Dundas, I would have thought the selection would be better. While the space appears to be large, with two floors, the selection of items is rather narrow. For soccer items, there are several soccer-​only stores that offer a much greater selection of shoes and clothing. The footwear category in general seems limited and small. This location comes across like an «outlet» store however I don’t believe it is supposed to be one.
Even the Adidas stores in outlet malls have a greater selection and if you compare what Adidas has online, this store does not have even a third of that selection. And although that is somewhat common, there are several popular models that should be in-​store. As for the layout, it seems a little cramped around the main cash desk on the main floor. The upper floor is a little more spacious but really nothing special. I think most Sport Chek stores have more Adidas products that this location.

Toronto FC fans, here’s one totally Awesome store to get all the gear you need to show your Fan Spirit before watching the next game. This store is GORGEOUS! And the Toronto FC gear is located at the main entrance to the store, just off Yonge Street. It’s a large, spacious floor plan, with all the latest and greatest design features one would expect from a new store in a fabulous new building.
You can gape at the signature three stripe lighting that leads from the entrance to the cash desk elegantly, yet somewhat discreetly. Then check out the cool displays. Not to mention the gently curving stairs to get to the second floor. Great Layout!
I especially loved the display upstairs where the soccer player in the poster appears to break through the plastic with his cleat while kicking the ball so hard it actually does break out of the sign. COOL!!! Every mannequin is set up to look like they are participating in a sports activity appropriate to the gear they are sporting (cheesy, I know, but still cool.).
The actual merchandise is gorgeous and priced competitively. There are lots of work out gear (high tech tanks, tees, shorts, jackets, warm up suits, and right now at least they have the most beautiful and functional collection of Tennis gear for Chicks. Check out the white tennis dress with lots of light, breathable fabric that still allows for lots of movement. They really got it with that one. For all you guys out there, the tanks and tees available are both handsome and functional. Then again, would you ever expect anything less from Adidas?
Did I mention the latest and greatest selection of the ever popular Adidas shoes? They are so comfortable. What can we say, there’s a reason Adidas is so popular…
As for the staff, they were very friendly, approachable, and really knew the merchandise. This is definitely a store I will be going back to soon.
