I haven’t bought anything here… yet… I went here on Wednesday for the group run and Brian and Katie who work at the RR were super nice! It was an extremely rainy day and Brian was detailed in explaining the road conditions and anything we would need to prepare for safety-wise. There are a lot of promotions going on here. The shoes are above my budget but there’s an additional 10% off shoes on sale. Sales on top of sales are my favourite. There are tons of things I want from here. Neck warmer, running backpack, massager, wind breaker. Will definitely be back.

This location is conveniently located steps from Queen’s Park and at the corner of Bay and Grenville(bottom of Murano Building) just north of College. The store, like most locations are small because they keep their overhead cost low in order to provide great products and offer various running clinics at a low price, plus they host various free events throughout the year in support of the community. Running Clinics available ranges from Learn to Run, 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon distances. They also have free group runs every Wednesdays at 6pm and Sundays at 8:30am with various distances depending on the training clinics schedules at that time. I’ve taken the full marathon clinic last year which was instructed by the Store Manager and I still keep in touch with him on a regular basis as he’s a great running coach and offers valuable advice and training tips. The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable with running gear and various running information from injuries to nutrition and miscellaneous stuff. Sign up for their free Running Rewards program to obtain discounts on purchases and free magazine subscription. Also, sign up for the store newsletter to keep abreast of running updates, tips, sales, and group run distances. If you want a no fuss store for your running gear, then The Running Room store(no matter which location) is for you. Plus they have various sidewalks and magazine sales throughout the year. In addition, all Running Room locations provides a free gait analysis, so come in for a shoe fitting and get the proper shoes for your feet type. Happy Running!

Went here on my lunch break seeking advice on some trainers that would help with the great pain in my arches I experience when I work out. Was immediately and kind of rudely dismissed by one sales associate, and introduced to another, who WAS polite and actually gave me good advice on what would more suit my feet. The first guy was condescending, and I agree with Mike’s review. Customer service is really going down these days.

3 is A-OK which is fair I think. Maybe 3.5 really. I want those half stars, Unilocal! Tiny store with lots of stuff packed in there. It’s generally deserted too, so basically the sales staff are either pouncing on you or watching you the whole time you’re in there. They actually seem quite nice and they know their running, but they have nothing else to do but stand there and look at you while you try to peruse the stock. It makes for a very uncomfortable browsing experience. In summary-quality running gear and the staff are pleasant… but poor location and far too cramped and poky so I kind of avoid shopping there. Particularly if there’s nobody else in there already! Hope things pick up so that I can spend money I don’t have in there.

Overly nosey and annoying salespeople made this location annoying to shop at. Good selection of running accessories though and I was pleased with the quality! The store is located in the bottom of the Murano building, facing Bay.
