The Thornhill Heritage Garden at Thornhill Village Library is set up as Canadian Style Cottage Garden as it might have looked in the 1890.
There are over 160 species and cultivars of heirloom plants and many local organizations, nurseries and individual contributed to the garden.
Here you can learn about techniques of traditional gardening which is a more natural garden with a lot of perennials and with no turfs so minimum watering needs and the plants are able to withstand some droughts. Back there no pesticide were used, cultural practice were use to control pest.
