Worst experience and laughable customer service. Please do not consider wasting your energy or hard earned money at this establishment. The fact that they reply with«glad we made you laugh» simply confirms why they get such horrible reviews. Seriously. Go somewhere else. But don’t take my word for it! Just scroll down on any of the users who also agree this place blows.

Summary for those who don’t have time to read the whole thing: 1– wrong information about the pricing 2– Wrong type of eye check up — totally different from what I requested and never even did what I went for to this place 3– wrong prescription — constant headache from the glasses they gave me 4– they don’t want to make up for their mistakes and they are asking me to pay them again to «confirm» that my prescription is wrong — I have the new prescription from another place that shows they were waaay off! 5– they charge $ 250 for an contact lens fitting compare to $ 100 that other places do it for such a better job Also to the owners awful comment and harassing me on Unilocal: I lived in Vancouver for two years attending UBC getting my masters degree in engineering. I used to live in Surrey right next to King George Skytrain, so I am not just a random spammer from San Diego! Open your eyes and try to improve your business instead of sending these hateful messages on Unilocal.Good day! Now the details: Ok so I went to check my eyes for my RGP contact lenses because they were bothering me. I called them explain the exact reason I’m calling to make appointment. their first mistake: they booked me in for a general eye check up(now if you don’t know the differences, you should be aware, the eye check up for contact lenses is different from just a general eye checkup). So I went in, Dr. Dupuis asked me to take out my contacts, and did an eye check-up. NEVERCHECKEDMYEYES with my contacts to see if there is anything wrong(she probably even doesn’t know how to deal with contacts) and send me with my prescription. At this point, I am like whatever, let’s at least use the free glasses that come with the eye exam. YEAHRIGHT! first of all there are only a few AWFUL styles that are available to choose, which I did. I had to pay $ 80 extra for TRIO coating. OK I did. SInce I don’t wear the glasses so often I didn’t realize this until I had to give a break from my contact a few months down the road. I am wearing the ugly glasses, and guess what I am getting a headache all the time. I ended up going to another optometry and had my eyes check and yes, the prescription and glasses they charged me so much for is WAAAY off my real prescription. Now I called them to try to get back to them and at least have them replace the glasses. They are asking me to pay for yet ANOTHER eye exam to «confirm» that the prescription was wrong. Someone should tell them, well if you knew how to find my true prescription, you wouldn’t give me the wrong one from the beginning! Don’t waste your time and money, and don’t hurt your eyes. I have no time to explain how they tried to scam me on RGP contact lenses, but long story short, they tried to give me the wrong information at the reception to make me go and pay $ 250 to get a fitting exam. But luckily because I have been wearing RGP lenses for 11 years and I have done so much study about it, I insisted to talk to their doctor before paying for the visit and he finally after 5 minutes bargaining confessed that yes a fitting exam is not necessary!(and even if it was other places do it for $ 100 not $ 250!) Message me if you have questions and you want to hear the whole story

Summary of my long winded review… When the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing, this is why people will turn to online shopping. These guys use a GroupOn to get you in the door and then there are all these stipulations not mentions on the GroupOn. I think the people at this place are rude because there are so many shenanigans going on and it makes even them miserable. On to the review… I bought a GroupOn for this place. The GroupOn said it was good for only a few locations, when I called apparently it was good for all locations… mix up number 1. The GroupOn was for a eye exam and a pair of Ray-Bans for $ 99 with a total value of $ 350. Pretty good deal right? I was after a pair of nice polarized glasses for quite some time and this seemed like the perfect way to get me a pair ;) Keep in mind you can get a great pair of polarized glasses online for less than $ 200. Hold up! Wait a minute! Went into the first location on Hastings. Practically zero selection. The girl there was THEONLY nice person I dealt with in my ordeal. She went out of her way to find out which stores had the styles I was looking for. Turns out the chain makes you have your eye exams and pick up the Ray-bans at the same location. Ok Fine, I cancel my eye exam at Hastings. I head over to the Guildford location to have a look. They have no polarized but they did have a style I liked… really wanted polarized. I’m told that if I wanted a polarized version I would have to pay $ 100 more. Now another thing I was told was that the sticker price on the shelf are $ 100 less than the regular price… confused? yes me too! So that now places a pair of polarised sunglasses at this place at $ 345! They said there are multiple ads going on and that price is reflective of one of them. I leave, miffed. I go on holidays without nice cool awseome polarized sunglasses. I come back form holidays. I head to the Guildford location again to see what they’ve got. I find a style that isnt polarized but I was ready to just get it over with. After pouring on the sugar to try and get a polarized pair, the lady looks at me confused and says the polarised glasses are included in the groupon. I’m told that the Surrey Central location has a pair. I head over to Surrey Central Mall. They have them… but they are on hold for another ‘patient’ as they like to call them. they are to call me back the next day and tell me whats up… ok fine… hope for the best, make another trip if needed. Next day, no call. 2pm rolls around I call them. They confirm that the ‘patient’ no longer wants them and that I can have them… and unfortunately the Groupon excludes polarised Ray-bans. I point out that NOWHERE on the groupon did it say this, otherwise I wouldnt have bought it. I am informed that I will have to pay full pop for the glasses $ 245(probably $ 345…even I lost track of all the garbage I was told). I say I am disappointed to say the least. Girl says she will call head office and confirm. No call back. 4pm, I call them. Head Office confirms its a no-go. After all the calling around, running around, time wasting, dealing with a few very rude women, I am extremely disappointed in this place. AND I still dont have a pair of sunglasses or an eye exam. GroupOn was the only sympathetic ear and offered a full refund.
