Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Wow — the restaurant really doesn’t look like much from the outside, but holy cow those burgers are good! I love that they are basic, fresh ingredients. The beef patties taste like they came off the home grill.
We have gone twice now. We live in North Surrey and drive to the south Surrey location. Each time the burgers have been perfection. I’m not a huge fry person, but their fries are a solid good. Not enough to make a deal about, but the burgers were the real draw. And they were worth it!

Five guys in my backyard. I love the burgers — the juiciness and the options I can put in my burger! #1 burgers in Canada in my opinion.

I’ve been to the downtown location so I know I’ll love it! I love having so many different options (veggies/​sauces) for my cheeseburger, I love watching it freshly be made right in front of you and I love the free peanuts! I’m ecstatic five guys expanded into BC and I hope other franchises follow in their footsteps (In N Out, Sonic, etc)

Delicious burgers! Whatever you get, you are getting a whole lot of calories filled of deliciousness!!! I love it all!

Great burgers. Usually Love the food here and do recommend it. The cajun fries are a must for sure. One less star just for the price of the place. A bit more that what it should be I think.

Come for the free nuts, stay for amazing burgers
For slightly more than a McDonalds big Mac you get a fantastic, made to order burger from 5 guys. Service is excellent. The place doesn’t reek of nasty oil, ingredients are fresh and top quality.
Highly recommend 5 guys over most other franchise burger joints.

You should always check your order when takeing out. My wife ordered two cheeseburgers from Five Guys in South Surrey. We live in Point Roberts, about a 30 minute drive. She has celiac disease and can not eat any bread. When she got home her burger was on a bun even though she ordered it without. This was order #38 taken at 1:20 pm. Ofcourse it might help if the sales person could speak and understand english, So $ 8 down the drain. We had to throw it away.
We won’t go back.

I prefer the Five Guys in Bellingham to this one. This place is way too expensive for a family to enjoy a meal. Rather spend the money at a full service restaurant.
It’s funny how ALL other locations do offer ONE free fries refill … but this location does not honour it. Shouldn’t all chain fast food places be consistent with this?
The burger was OK … They are slow … no customer service … no smiles. very slow … think I will pass and go somewhere else from now on! (In-​N-​Out Burger has better burgers. may take longer to get your burger but it’s because it’s ALWAYS busy … and the people are always smiling and happy to see you!!!)

I was in the area and was finally able to check this place out. People had been telling me about this place and to check it out. But not being from this area, its pretty rare that I’m out here.
For a first time visitor I found the menu to be a bit confusing. The cashier didn’t really have much patience for me either. In the end I ordered the little cheeseburger with all the standard toppings minus the grilled onions (ew yuck!). I wish I had ordered some cajun fries — ya’ll making it sound so good, but that’ll be for next time.
After a short wait, I had my burger. When I opened the aluminum, I was struck by how pretty it looked — all those vibrant colours leaping out at me. My first bite was awesome. The crunch of the fresh lettuce and tomato complemented the soft bun and patty. The patty was nothing spectacular, but it was cooked well and it was juicy. The freshness of all the ingredients is what I liked best.
I feel like I could make the same quality burger, but for those feeling lazy then its okay. For $ 6 its not that expensive for just a burger and I was completely stuffed. I would definitely eat it again.

I’m conflicted and here’s why:
$ 15 for two little bacon cheese burgers and a large pop which is a little steep but it was super yummy.
The burgers initial visual is like a little kid coloring within the lines, A BIG MESS!!! The presentation of the burger itself was a sloppy, saucy mess but boy does it taste great. Lots of topping which were nice but a bit messy.
It’s great that the excitement of Five Guys died down a bit as it wasn’t as busy as the first time I went so it was a treat having a nearly empty place to eat.
I enjoyed the food but not the presentation of the food and yes I’ll be back
