I went to this spa for a prenatal massage and pedicure, and was not disappointed. I didn’t think I was a «spa» person, I’ve never really been into the manicures and pedicures, and honestly, the thought of a stranger massaging me kinda freaked me out! This place changed my mind. The massage was wonderful, very relaxing, the room was dim, with candles and soft music and the massage therapist was very friendly and put me at ease right away. She kept asking me where I was stiff/​sore and focused more on those areas, which was nice.
I LOVED the pedicure. I went for a pedicure once before at a different spa, and didn’t see what the big deal was, I actually found it kind of awkward. This place was completely different, and I really enjoyed the service. The aesthetician was great and the service included a really neat cooling lower leg wrap that supposedly helps with circulation. She really took her time with polish application, and my toes have never looked better!
The spa itself is very serene and quiet, even though I knew there were other clients there, I didn’t see or hear them.
It is a bit pricey, but I’ll probably be back, as I think the price is worth it compared to other spas.

I recently visited Sweet Momma Spa in St. Albert for a 60 minute prenatal massage, a body polish service, and a wax. I left feeling really satisfied with each of the services provided.
First up was my massage and my RMT took the time to chat with me to find out where I’m experiencing discomfort and also took care in making sure I was comfortable. The great part about this spa is that they have water massage beds so you’re still able to lay on baby belly comfortably. That being said, I’m rather uncomfortable lying on my stomach at this stage in my pregnancy but was encouraged to then get comfortable on my side while pillows were added between my knees and anywhere else I might require them. I was asked if the pressure was OK and she informed me what exactly she would be doing. I was told to make sure to drink lots of water that day and the next to help flood out toxins and to alleviate any soreness and honestly it was a great experience. I wasn’t too sore the next day and my back hasn’t felt this good since before I was pregnant!
My body polish service was fantastic as well, I never let myself indulge in spa services like this so it was a real treat. The bed was comfortable, and the esthetician was thorough in explaining what she would be doing. She made sure I was comfortable, allowed me to take my time rinsing off in the shower located in the same room and encouraged me to even wash my hair if I wanted using their shampoo & conditioner before she returned to add the lotion. Their products are great too — the lotion sunk right into my skin, no oily or slick feeling that lingered so I actually felt rejuvinated.
The wax was fabulous too. I’ve only gotten a professional wax at a salon once years ago and usually opt to do it myself but this belly is getting too big lately! I didn’t feel uncomfortable as the conversation with the esthetician was great, she was warm and welcoming and instantly put me at ease which is saying a lot as I arrived for this service rather nervous! She asked me if I’d had sugaring done before (I hadn’t) and kept me informed about what it is and how it’s done. Love that.
The spa itself has a calming, serene atmosphere and very quiet, I know other appointments were taking place but you would never know it based on the sound level, I felt like the only person there as I could only hear the gentle music playing in each room. I will absolutely be back for the duration of my pregnancy for more massages and other services and would recommend to any of my expecting and even my non-​expecting friends!

I have not been there to personally use their services, but I attended a friend’s 4D ultrasound there which was really cool. Professional service and they can even real-​time the ultrasound for people who can’t attend the sessions at the spa.
For those new moms who like to have an occasional drink but don’t want to pass the alcohol onto the baby — the spa sells these really neat breast milk alcohol testing strips. My friend says they are quite accurate — so helpful for figuring out how long to wait before breast-​feeding the little one!

I received a pedicure at Sweet Momma after winning a gift certificate from a Baby shop show.
The atmosphere was beautiful, serene, and relaxing.
They used Formaldehyde free nail polish which is safer for Moms to be.
Their prices are definitely higher than your run of the mill walk-​in place but it definitely had more of a spa feel with private rooms in soothing tones and colors.
They offer many pregnancy specific services there including massages. The pedicure was wonderful, gentle –which you want when you’re pregnant and swollen, and tailored to my specific needs (i.e. swelling of the ankles — otherwise known as cankles, lol!).
While the prices are a little too high for me to frequent regularly, it is a wonderful treat for anyone you may know who is expecting! A great idea for an office to chip in for a baby shower present to the Mom who already has all the baby stuff she needs from baby #1, or a really sweet gift from the Dad-​to-​be to the Mommy.
I definitely left feeling pampered and refreshed!
