If there’s any burger you need in your life, it’s the river burger. This place is awesome.

We drove to Squamish Valley for a little hike, mountain bike and camping. Guy at the bike shop said this is the best brew pub around. We drove there. View on the Mamquam River awe inspiring. Local bikers, hikers, backpackers and motor bikers; this is the spot to be. Rain has been heavy! Fellow at the pub said the water is up 20 feet in the river cuz been so dry. Water level not this high in 50 years. Another 10 feet, this place is flooded. As is, roof leaks! Drip drip! Let’s talk. Diggin the scene! Open air bar with heaters with roof to keep out rain(more or less) overlooking the river and surrounding majestic mountains to my left. To my right large-screen TVs running the NFL games. In front of me Fat Tug IPA(hop-bitter-PDX way) and my «KickButt AdorableWife! Lively crowd! Food looks good! Got organic too. I am too-too ready for their organic river burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, peppercorn sauce & house mayo with and fat-fat steak fries. Like it like that! Good BC Squamish find for PDXer! EH! EH! EH!

What a stunning location. Definitely the best patio view I’ve had. This little unpretentious gem of a place is great. The service is efficient and friendly. Your regular pub food items were all cooked well amongst our group. I opted for the tilapia tacos, the sweetness of the carrots in the slaw, really worked well with the fish and seasoning. Washed down with a Howe Sound seasonal ale, this was the perfect time way to watch the much needed rain pour down on a Saturday afternoon

We waited an hour and a half for our food after we ordered. The fries were tasty, but the fish tacos were bland. Overall it was an underwhelming dinner.

Talk about great pub food! You name it… It was good, burgers are fresh, steak taco were amazing, fish & chips delicious, a huge Rubin.(Our table had a wide variety.) And of course don’t forget the poutine! The chicken gravy was the tastiest around. The view is gorgeous, I could sit there all day and soak it in. Everyone in my group said they would order their food again. It’s a win all the way around– food, view and service.

Excellent restaurant right by the river. We ate dinner at the Watershed twice during our 4-day stay in Squamish and were super pleased both times. The beer is in the $ 4 – 5 range with a special each night, even on the weekends. The first night I had the shed burger with the side salad, both were great. Burger was well seasoned and I loved the salad toppings. Poutine and Wings are both great appetizers, you can mix the flavors for the wings and/or do half and half. The second time I got the veggie burger with fries and was equally pleased. Great location, wonderful staff and clean restrooms — can’t go wrong with the Watershed!

Awesome view and awesome food. Definitely worth driving out of the way to go there. I had the local nut beer and it was great. Prices and staff were good too.

Some friends and I were vacationing in BC for awhile when we came across watershed. Easily the best place we ate at during our whole 2 week trek. Amazing view, great staff, and amazing food. Don’t pass this up

This place is great. Good food, amazing view, and good music. It’s definitely worth a stop if in the area just to sit and have lunch next to the river.

My bf and I were there at the end of June for vacation, and during a heat wave. So a tip to those eating there in the summer months: try eating at 7:15pm or later! The sun dips behind the mountains around that time and the temperature cools by at least 15 degrees. We both ordered their chicken cesar salad, which was actually very good. This restaurant is right by an eagle park and river, so the scenery is gorgeous.

Great staff. Spectacular view. I had the street tacos and they hit the spot. I was super impressed with how kid-friendly they were. I would definitely go back!

So, how does a guy from Dallas come to know about a place well off the highway in a small town in British Columbia? My girlfriend and I were on a vacation in Vancouver in January 2015. I had wanted to go to Vancouver Island to see Butchart Gardens and Victoria, so I inquired about it at the hotel. They advised that by the time we got to the island via ferry, we would have only a few hours to explore the gardens and Victoria before we would need to turn back to catch a return ferry. They recommended a sea plane to get there; this option was cost-prohibitive. They then suggested that a better day trip would be the drive from Vancouver to Whistler. They provided a list of things to see on the way including directions on reaching the Brackendale bald eagle habitat. We didn’t see any bald eagles but it was lunchtime and we could smell an amazing smell coming from a restaurant that looked like little more than a waterside shack in this beautiful setting. We decided to try it and I’m glad we did! My girlfriend had a local beer that she found fantastic. I had to drive so no drinking for me, but had a hankering for a Caesar. The waitress said that she would get me one without alcohol, and it was pretty good for as far as non-alcoholic Caesars go. Each of us had a hamburger. We’re both from beef-crazy Texas where the state university’s athletic teams are named after cows and the pro football team is the Cowboys, but we both thought the burger here was top-notch. I’d place it in my top 20 burgers ever — and I’ve had a lot of great burgers. If we are ever back in Brackendale, we will be back.

Great location on the river and overlooking the mountain. Friendly wait staff and good menu with wide range of options. Prices were fair and the food was good. Patio is heated with a large overhead heater and you can’t really get away from it, so it does get a little warm.

Great bar, mediocre restaurant, but location, location, location. Situated right across from a major eagle viewing spot in Brackendale this place deserves a visit. The scenery is stunning and it is just a cool place all around i you can get in after a hike. That being said, it has a very limited menu which isn’t always a bad thing but it literally is 4 types of burgers, a pulled pork sandwich, a salad and a similarly limited breakfast menu, The burgers are good not great, and the same goes for the fries. Come for beer, stay for the scenery, but for food, exhaust yourself to the point where anything would taste great on a local hike first.

Have eaten here in the summer. Came in after doing the Eagle Watch. It was Grey cup night and they were busy. We had to sit out on the covered patio. They have overhead gas heat and it seemed warm initially, However, while waiting for our food, most of our party were cold and miserable, even using the blankets they provide. I’d highly recommend waiting for a table in the main part of the restaurant, unless you are dressed warmly. Maybe it was how long we waited, but for the price, food did not seem as good as i remembered it in the summer. Just a-ok. Adequate.

I’ve been back a few times since and they appear to have addressed the older slow service times I saw previously; I don’t know if they have more staff now or what, but they’re fine now! And the food is probably even better than it ever was. Still tough to get a table out on the patio on a nice day, but hey, that’s how it goes when the view is as damned good as it is from this place’s patio!

This is always my stop for food and drinks whenever I’m on the sea to sky and can’t really go wrong here. Their patio is best for eagle watching and enjoying the breeze from the river. The staff is friendly and always funny! I have tried the spicy chicken wings, yam fries and the burger and you can’t go wrong ordering any of them.

Food: 4 Stars; Service: 2.5 Stars The restaurant is located in an area where people go for salmon.. . fishing? spotting? not sure. But there is a big salmon event that occurs there. The salmon/fishy smell is really strong. It’s a beautiful area though. They also have eagles that fly around. Pretty awesome. I’ll start off by acknowledging that we were a group of 16 that stopped in on our way to Whistler from YVR with only about 45 minutes advance notice to them. However, the waitress seemed overwhelmed and frequently forgot people’s drinks and dishes when everyone else had their stuff for at least 5 minutes. That’s a long time when you are sitting at a table and everyone else has their stuff. The food was pretty damn good. We were all expecting NYC-bar-type food. Kinda unhealthy, probably fried, overly flavored, maybe creative if we were lucky. But, the food was healthy, fresh, and really good! If you have time to kill between your flight arriving at YVR and check in at Whistler, consider stopping by here for a bit.

Overall high marks here, alas a couple of soft spots I’ll touch on… The food was really great & timely. Minimal presentation and excellent in quality and taste… as were the beverages too. Service staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and timely… I’m not for tweaking everything I order, but I do have a thing about how I like my ceasars… and with a simple request, the staff got it right(in a world of where this is not so hard & usually ends up the contraire). That said, the ownership/management/staff could really benifit by paying attention to the obvious regarding décor… There are probably not a whole lot of restaurants, pubs or grills in the entire world that can offer some of the best Eagle bird watching in the world, along with a spectacular mountain and river view where we noticed people rafting, all to be admired while you enjoy the experience of the establishment. That’s amazing stuff! Alas, it was a shame and really unfortunate to experience the view from inside in the winter as being obstructed with worn out retractable clear plastic(instead of something else possibly more durable & transparent for the winter/rain). And with just a glance around during daylight hours, it was apparent that the tables could have benefited from having a card listing the kinds birds and many creatures that you will most likely see during your visit(minus 1 star). And finally… the establishment needed a good dusting, but it was clean where it counted. The visable cobwebs and layer of grime on the deck rails and in parts of the washroom was uncool, as was the dilapidated vibe of the washroom. That said, it’s mentionable that the staff looked properly groomed, and the plates, glassware & tableware were all properly clean(no death signals, but still minus 1 star).
