I came all the way to Squamish from Vancouver to do my Pesticide applicator license since this location had more frequent testing times. The testing itself was really easy. There are some trick questions since some questions have answers which are all right, however, they want the best answer. It is hard to tell what is the best answer when they’re all equally good. I studied at least 2 hours a day for the test for 4 weeks, therefore, didn’t need to reference the book. They give you 3 hours, however, finished the test in 45 which includes double checking the work. They don’t make up the test nor can they answer any questions. This is just the location that administers the test. Here is where they fall short. The lady working there, Candace is a real b*tch and needs to get over herself. Not only was she rude, condescending but she scolded me like a little child for two things. 1. I forgot my ID and she said she would look into it. I called home to see if they could go into my e-mail and foward my scan of my ID to the office so that I didn’t have to go all the way home and come back another day. She didn’t ask me to do it, however, in the event that there was no exception to take the test I wanted to have my basis covered ’cause that is what a smart person does… problem solve and make it work. She yelled at me like a 7 year old(I am 33 by the way) and said, «What are you doing? Did I ask you to do this? Can you not hear? I said that I would look into it.» Second incident is that she got upset ’cause I started reading the instructions which said, «Please read carefully before taking the exam.» She got upset and said, «Stop that I will explain it to you.» I finally fuckin’ lost it with her and her attitude. My own mother who has a history of being verbally abusive when I was younger never talked to me that way. I can’t remember what exactly I said to her ’cause I don’t take it kindly when someone treats me like shit for 1. trying to help or 2. Talking to me as if I am a child. I am sure that may have thrown an f-bomb or two at her. To top things off I was already stressed about the exam, I didn’t bring my ID ’cause I wasn’t told about the ID and it was already packed in my suitcase for Portland this weekend. Before the examination I tried to pay with for my exam, however, she said, «You’re already late just get in here.» Finally when I told her off she calmed down and tried to make amends, however, the damage was done. What is it with government workers in general and why are they all grumpy and mean? I can’t complain to anybody about this ’cause government workers have automatic vito. What is really pathetic is that there are so many people in need of a job right now who would be blessed with a better attitude and this is how people are treated? For the record she was a b*itch to everyone. I am sure her staff think that she is a peach.
