This is a simple concept and this restaurant has been here for almost a decade being a local favourite in Sherwood Park. While you make your drink order and decide what kind of starter soup cup you would like(today, I picked the yummy hot and sour but the house made wonton is equally good), they give you a bowl and you head right over to the cold holding unit to make your plate. The décor is functional and nothing fancy; service is friendly«you order, we serve». You can’t complain about the taste of the food: you pick your own raw vegetables, raw beef, chicken, lamb, shrimp, salmon, mussels, crab, scallops, and then head over to the sauce station for an endless possibility of over 15 to choose from. There are chef recommendations of Combinations that you can follow but otherwise, the food will taste as you make it by filling the bowl and having it cooked for you; no whining, the idea is to be adventurous and try new flavours each time. I picked a large amount of meats and added garlic, lemon and ginger black pepper and hot sauces for a tangy combination that was delicious. The bowl is then cooked on a huge hot wok while you sit down and enjoy the soup. They bring you rice and thin Asian tortillas when your cooked creation arrives at your table, making your Mongolian Indulgence experience complete. You pay by the weight and if you guess the exact amount, which is like winning the lottery, what are the odds lol, your meal Is free. This is healthy, fast, low-carb, high protein, tasty and darn good; a hands down winning lunch destination in Sherwood Park.

Pretty ridiculous overall. Almost speechless. The food was absolutely bland, only way I could consume it was by adding adverse amounts of hoisen and chilli sauce. It is true the vegetables were sitting in baths of water. Compared to The Mongolie Grill, you can tell what an authentically cheap and poor interpretation should taste like; Mongolian indulgence. Oh, the Mongolian chicken bites oddly remind me of those shitty frozen chicken fingers from Walmart. 98% inedible. All in all, wasn’t worth the exuberant cost. Cheers!

So, the cool thing about this restaurant is that after you pick a bunch of uncooked items from a cold table and they cook it all out for you, they have you guess how much money your meal costs as they charge by weight. Other than the first time that I played this game, I have been really bad and really off at guessing. I would say that a normal person would pay between $ 12 to $ 22 for their meal which includes your choice of bad soup or an even worse soup and includes rices/wraps. My recommendation when picking items from the cold table is to skip out on the noodles unless you’re really religious when it comes to noodles. It’s hard to blame the cooks or anybody except yourself for a bad meal here as the sauces/meats/ratios are all left to yourself. The groceries and condiments seem quality enough and usually end up pretty tasty. Looks wise, I think this place is red and has some tables. I can’t really picture it besides a few pieces of Mongolian-style art and pictures. Inoffensive and clean, I can see how the East Edmonton and Sherwood Park crowd can make this a regular lunch spot.

Like many Mongolian places it’s pay by the bowl. They have a special that if you guess within 5 cents of your price you get 10% off but that should have been a warning. At $ 13 a pound this gets expensive quick. Many vegetables are soaking in water to «keep them fresh» but this just adds extra weight. I would have been able to get past all of that of the sauces that they advertise so heavily had any flavor. I used 2 full scoops of their lemon dill flavoring and my husband did 2 scoops of their teriyaki flavoring and when our dishes came back to us they were so bland I had to add additional soy sauce so I could even eat it. Maybe it was the soba noodles we both got and the fact they were soaking in water that they couldn’t absorb any flavor but I was seriously disappointed with the end result.

Absolutely delicious, this tiny restaurant offers authentically delicious Mongolian food at a great price. You choose what you want cooked and they charge you by the pound. It’s cooked to perfection and includes rice, wraps and a soup to start. We also had great service! This great restaurant has just climbed to our top 5 restaurants in the Edmonton area and our number 1 in Sherwood park.
