Specialties

Buffet Royale Carvery has 4 locations in and around the Edmonton area. They are open 365 days a year and offer seasonal dishes through out the year. 100 items are available including a large Asian selection and Western, Italian and Ukrainian fare. There is a large salad bar, taco and nacho station and a serve serve ice cream sundae bar. A Callebaut Chocolate fountain is available at all locations and is always included at all times. Lunch is available Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm. Dinner is served starting at 3:30 pm daily Monday to Sunday. Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. Private banquet rooms are available at all 4 locations. All you can eat BBQ beef ribs and shrimp. A smorgaborg of fresh salads and desserts available.

Went here on Christmas Eve for lunch. It was a bit busy for lunch. Service wasn’t great. Food was good when we first arrived. Lacking flavour but that is generally what happens at a buffet. WonTon soup was disgusting. Tasted like someone rung out the smelly old gym socks to make the broth. Roast beef was full of gristle and tough and ice cold. Told server she didn’t seem to care as the same slab of meat continued to sit there. Plates weren’t taken away very quickly. For 2 people the edge of the table piled up quickly. Paying $ 3.25 for a beverage is a tad ridiculous. It should be included with the buffet. $ 40 for lunch is a bit extreme

This place is alright but for the price I’ve had better. Food is heavily weighted towards Chinese and the ginger beef was really dried out and just kind of terrible to be honest. I’m not certain I would go back anytime soon…

Quite nice for a buffet place. The food was decent and there is a pretty broad selection. The cost is around 40 bucks for 2 at lunch. The drinks aren’t included in the initial cost but it comes out to around 40.
It was relatively empty and quiet during our quick lunch and the wait staff is friendly, quick, and unobtrusive.
Definitely a nice place to go to when you can’t make up your mind on what you want.

The food is ok for a buffet and there is lots of variety. I did find that the price was excessive and it doesn’t even include a drink. That’s another outrageous cost added on. Our family of 4 ended up with a bill over 100.00 and none of us had more then one plate of food. I don’t think I would return to this buffet just because of the poor value. You can go to Montanas, Applebees and a number of others to get great food at a much cheaper price and they even come around to refill your drinks.

Extremely over priced. The food was okay, but I expect much better for the price we paid. They don’t allow coupons on weekends or holidays and they are not very kid friendly. We hardly saw our waitress and had empty cups and dirty plates on our table often. Probably won’t go back.

Poor Communication from staff to customers not all food was fresh I’ve seen better. And they never came back to see if I wanted a drink refill! also I don’t appreciate hearing other languages this is Canada speak English or go back to where you came from.

Found the food to be rather lacking in quality. I know it’s a buffet but for the price of «admission» the quality could be better.
The service was ok, but nothing special. Found the place rather empty and yet understaffed.

Chinese dishes were good, best Chow Mien in SPark, no waitin for table. Friendly/attentive staff. price was a bit high, but not bad, lots of variety in the dishes. only disappointment was the grilled sausage did not have much taste. Would I go back? — you betcha. I suggest adding more Med type food.

I went there for a group party and wasn’t aware how much it cost. It is a little on the high side but the food and the décor are good. It looks much nicer than your typical buffet place. I just wish that the chinese food was labelled as I don’t eat beef or pork and had to wait for someone to tell me what everything was.

We had a big party there and most of us were first timers… and no one had any complaints. There was a lot of variety in the food and the facility was very clean :). My favorites were the green onion cakes, perogies, sausages and rhubarb crumble dessert! Mmmm.
