We shoved off at 8AM on a pristine early September day. Max Capacity on the vessel was 19 and we totaled 14 so there was reasonable elbow room about. Captain and crew were very friendly and accommodating. We went to two locations: 1. Mackerel(approx. 4 miles out) and 2. Cod(roughly 5.5 miles out). We used weighted lines with feather lures for the mackerel and most of us on board had multiple hits. With 1 – 2 foot swells, coupled with a moderate chop, the time spent at both sites was pleasant and easy. Cod is a bottom feeder so we let the line out to roughly 3 – 5 ft above the sea floor(120 ft. Depths). Here, a number of U.S. Caught multiple keepers. The crew was very helpful with the periodic lines entanglements and rebaits for the squeamish. There are many fishing boats/captains to choose from. This one is very good and based on our experience, I’d strongly recommend these guys to anyone interested.
